Harris is not doing as well in the polls as Biden was doing. September 9th Biden was ahead almost 8-9pts steady gaining.
2016 Hillary was ahead 4-5pts.
I think the debates is where it will be. Democrats can only hope that Trump loses his cool like he did in 2020. Republicans can only hope for Trump to be as smooth as he was in 2016. I don't think we will see either.
We know that Harris is very upset because she can't have notes, an ear piece, and the mics will be muted so it will limit the temptation of Trump to overtalk her so she can say her favorite catch phrase "I'm speaking". Harris is not good at speaking off script while Trump just loves it. If Trump keeps his cool, and Harris goes into word salad mode, the election is Trumps.
