Beautiful design. Have seen these pop up on r/watches. Is the crown pulled out or does it actually kind of stick out like that?

Mirin microrotor. I’m a sucker for those blue’d screws and the applied markers as well. Off-center subdial is a nice touch too. I like it.

I had someone else pick it up to take pics and ensure it wasn’t damaged (out of town right now) so haven’t actually seen it in person yet, but she might have pulled out the crown. Pictures of the watch online show it with the crown more inset so hopefully that’s the case lol

Check crown and caliber. You can punch in the info on the website and they'll give you a price automatically.

Watches are either steel or titanium. If it's steel, it won't be light unless it's made cheaply. If it's titanium, it's going to be at least a few hundred bucks (ti is expensive to machine).

What do Marathon Navigators cost these days? I had one with tritium years ago.

No worries, I'm too lazy to wind a watch daily. The speedies look so cool though.

Well MWC, I did something that I rarely ever do, and hate doing. I returned the FA Jones watch. I asked my dad how he was doing with it, and he had told me that he honestly doesn’t really use it, because he has to wind it every day, and it’s a bit big (43mm). He also said that he really likes the Mark XVI I got him years ago, and prefers to stick with it. He told me to get something that I like, for myself. So, I contacted the place that sold the watch to me, and they were kind enough to accept a return. I bought the 41mm chronograph instead. As I mentioned earlier, it was the one that I would have chosen. So here we are:

Spoiler!

That looks great, the applied numerals are what really set it apart to me at first glance. Done well, it’s typically a sign of a solid watch. Mirin & enjoy it brah.

Very nice! That almost makes me want an IWC.

Can't feel bad about a change of heart. I actually returned an Omega to a dealer earlier this year because it just wore too small. Which is ironic, because now I'm looking at vintage Pie Pan models.

Pie Pan Omegas are some of the most aesthetic watches ever made imo.

lol those are definitely going to be way too small for you then

kinda makes me glad i'm a wristlet (6.25" wrists crew) because even 34mm watches look normal sized on me

I sort of feel like I can pull off small vintage stuff bc people might just understand it's vintage? Idk

I do enjoy manmore wrists in general. My FF is totally normal looking for a daily at 45mm. The only downside is that I'm using 100% of the factory links on a couple watches. Better not bulk.

Looking at getting a new Rolex soon, hoping you guys can give me some advice. I already have a Yachtmaster with white face and stainless steel band. I want something dressier and more formal, but also something that I can wear every day. I'm not crazy about the Jubilee band, so at this point I'm only considering Oyster or President bands. I also like the look of mother of pearl dials. These are the options I'm looking at:

I prefer the President bracelet, but I do like the look of the two tone oyster with the white mother of pearl dial. Would also like a Day date with platinum or stainless President bracelet but with a black or black mother of pearl dial, but I haven't been able to find one online so I'm not sure if that even exists, and if it does it seems rare so it might be pricey.

You guys have any thoughts/recommendations for me?

Mother of pearl is pretty tough for brahs to pull off honestly. I’m not saying it’s can’t be done, but it’s commonly something women go for. If you’re set on it, I would go with white gold.

Thanks brah. Between white gold/MOP combo vs platinum with a plain black face what would you recommend?
