I had sold 1000 of my 5000 TGA shares at $2.70 before that last run up to $3.40.
I'll repurchase those 1000 if I can get them closer to $2 maybe 2.20 or 2.10

What a time to be alive.
I'm reading articles putting UPST at under-valued levels right now. One shill is saying $1000/share.
My net worth goal I had in mind for age=35, I have surpassed by a wide margin at age=33.
UPST is almost 50% of my portfolio now, so if it actually hits $1000/share, that would put me well above my age=40 net worth goal.
mind blown; I guess I'll just sit around and read all day at that point.
Any investment miscers ITT basically retired? I know that word can be loosely defined - what I mean is - you have zero reason to do anything you don't want to do, regardless of what the $$$ would be.
I wouldn't mind just continuing to do "side hustle" stuff for fun; essentially just to break even on my living expenses while letting my investments compound…. But never have known anyone IRL who has gone this route. Everyone seems to bust their ass to the end; even the more successful business people I've met who are worth tens of millions of dollars.
Obviously these returns aren't sustainable. Perhaps I'd need to shift gears on my investments, but honestly I enjoy the idea of sitting on this computer and farting around with stocks most of the time.
NOTE: I'm no kids CREW. Dual income with gf, and she has lower lifestyle expectations than me so that makes it VERY easy.

Whenever I explain compounding to people, they'll inevitably say something like "well what if I want to use the money within a year or two?" And I legitimately never think of it that way. More money means more compounding, more stonks, more opportunities to compound more into the future.

Personally, if I had 2mil in the bank I don't think I could stop working. If I quit my job and sat around I'd be an alcoholic in 2 weeks.

Lmao…. That's the other thing…. I've made mistakes and still walloped the s&p over this period. Even before I bought upst, the positions I held in NVDA, AMZN, and SQ all kept me ahead of the s&p. YTD has been obscene tho, if someone showed me my stats, I'd assume they were lying to me.
Whenever I explain compounding to people, they'll inevitably say something like "well what if I want to use the money within a year or two?" And I legitimately never think of it that way. More money means more compounding, more stonks, more opportunities to compound more into the future.
