Sad to say it brahs but I just can’t afford this hobby for the next few years. Two kids and renovations on an old, large property will do it. I’ll hopefully have some cool stuff to show in the next 5 years or so. For now, I have to restore a flat roof, redo a driveway, repaint, a house exterior, rebuild stairs, replace windows etc. will be stretching that budget for a while.

That said, Rolex and Patek will always appreciate from retail pricing. It's only a bad deal if you pay secondary market price.

Actually seeing some prices drop a bit on the gray market. On crown and caliber I see a Pepsi and a Starbucks under 20k. 16k for the Starbucks and 18 for the Pepsi. They’ve been well over 20k each for a long time now.
Still out of my reach though at those prices.

My local AD lost their "AD" status. Apparently Rolex has started hitting up small market AD's and telling them they dont see rolex in this market anymore and pulling out.
****ty, good friends family owned it and got me things when I wanted them. I am legit ****ed now on getting something at MSRP. Only dealer in my immediate area.

If a dealer in Bumfuk West Virginia can sell all their inventory the day it's received, that implies that it's not being sold to locals. Which is actually a violation of the dealer agreement, technically.
Flippers have gotten wise enough to poach small markets. Places with 100k residents aren't actually selling hundreds of pieces per year to locals who wear the watches.
