Paypal sell off is escalating almost -7 percent now.

The phuck.

Release statement that bloomberg report is false paypal. What are you waiting for.

About Tesla earnings today.

Implied move is getting smaller now only +/- 3.5 percent. ($30 ish move up down)

Don't ever use this as main gauge since options positioning before earnings is questionable at best.

Depends on how you think MSFT, AAPL, or GOOG will fare versus the other ~100 stocks in QQQ (many of which are not tech related, but companies like Pepsi, Moderna, etc). If you have the viewpoint that the broader market is overvalued but MSFT or GOOG are not, you may choose to buy the individual stock rather than the entire index.

My personal strategy is to keep 2/3 of my portfolio in QQQ and VOO and the other 1/3 in individual stocks. I like having the broad range of companies and no-regrets diversification provided by QQQ and VOO, but also like researching companies and concentrating more money into my favorites.

Upst is more dangerous on 11/9 imo. The last 3 earnings were EZ money, but after the most recent one, the cat is out of the bag. Chit might tank. Angus peppered for diamonding a $20k-$50k drawdown. Srs.

Tesla is doing fantastically as a car company but their current valuation is not that of a car company, they need big $$$ from software and the profit margins that accompany it

I've done far too much research into autonomous driving and am pretty bearish on FSD. I have a feeling Tesla could be in for some major pain on the FSD/Autopilot side, and now we have news that Missy Cummings has been appointed as a senior safety advisor for NHTSA

Tesla fanboys are so outraged that Missy Cummings had to go protected on her twitter and Duke University is getting calls to get her fired.

There is petition saying that this is conflict of interest and they should not hire her.

Elon was raging on twitter about it.

Missy bio is nuts former figther pilot now Duke University engineering and computer science professor and director of the Humans and Autonomy Laboratory and Duke Robotics

I mean this guy (Sandy) almost having heart attack over this.

On the actual earnings improvement for sure still doesn't add up to the pe ratio.

Not sure how this works.

They sold more cars they produced? But their inventory is up. huh?

You probably know more than me about them but they are def more than a car company (As I'm sure you know). Elon has the hookups, a MASSIVE following and tied to allot of powerful people with lots of capital including government subsidies, he's pretty young still too so if he lives to a normal lifespan imagine what this company will be like in 20 years + Not to mention his brother who's apparently revolutionizing agriculture (mars food). Wouldn't surprise me if he is president one day, DED FooKIN SRS M8

Its a long term play for me and like another bro in here said imagine what people will say in 10 years about how they could have bought TSLA at this price. Yes they've had a huge run-up last year but they've been stagnant which imo tells my gut its gonna have another good run-up soon. Can't tell you when but that's irrelevant anyways since I'll be diamond handing all my shares until I get into the triple digit percentage gains then I'll start to trim. Hold to the mars or hold till zero crew, I'm all in on this b*tch.

Since we're on the subject, who here has CHPT? That's another long play for me but I feel its much more of a "gamble" than TSLA (obv a different company but heavily related). TSLA very well diversified with ginormous capital and whenever there is some issue it gets swept under the rug pretty fast and the stock comes right back up. They are at the pinnacle of autonomous driving as well, yes its going to be a while till we actually see real self driving cars but I'm betting TSLA will be the first. You got all the other big boys years behind TSLA's technology right or am I wrong? JFL @ ford being so late to the game, glad I got in and out fast on that POS.

I still want to get in on a lithium stock as well. To me this is one of the new gold rushes and has been for some time. The dude gets away with everything too with only a slap on the wrist from the SEC etc. Even though a few years ago they legit said if he does one more wrong move, i.e. stock manipulation he's out for good, yet he's still here more powerful and influential than ever.

Don't get me wrong those lithium batteries are scary as fuk when they ignite in car accidents etc (worse than a gasoline fire), but I'm sure this issue will be solved eventually.

And the amount of Teslas I see here in Cali is mind blowing, to me its the AAPL of cars, batteries and space innovation / exploration. They may actually be able to save the human race if we can get onto another planet lets say if an asteroid is going to wipe out earth. Dude has so much passion that alone gives me enough security to own TSLA shares.

if investing: why would you invest in something so politically charged when there are so many other good plays on the market?

swing trading? I would buy puts lol

I'm thinking of picking up warrants once they come down a bit, this seems like a solid long term play. Imagine the demand for anti left platforms/media, it'll be like the left's demand for Biden just because he wasn't Trump
