Got my birthday JLC Reverso Duo in brahs. I am super happy with it, planning to get a black alligator strap to go with the brown polo strap on it currently. I think this is a surprisingly casual watch on the brown strap, and it is very comfy too.

Was in upstate NY this weekend, so i decided to run into the AD that got me my AK in 2019. Shot the chit with one of the dudes who (supposedly) remembers me back then when the previous sales associate was there. They had a bunch of the "exhibition" pieces and it's just kinda lolzy. As we started chatting i mentioned the BLNR and he low key was saying how he's got a guy who's bought 7 rolex's in the last 2 years waiting for one and that they just dont get them a ton.

Guess it's just grey for me for life.

Holy fuk. Did you brahs see this new release from omega? 1. Omega flexing their muscles pricing this at $11,800 (while they’ve been increasing prices on all their other models); 2. Fuking HNNNNNGH. I thought the blue dial variant (the only one with the integrated rubber bracelet which I think is a must have for this watch personally) was already a great watch, but this new black/grey variant takes it to another level. I’m not a fan of titanium (would prefer steel or even white gold) but the dial is insane.

I could see catbrah buying this

Thank you catbrah (srs). The Santos is still a super iconic piece from Cartier and fills a different niche than most things from JLC, so there's still plenty of room for a dress style watch from JLC (srs).

I do think the blue strap world timer is a great value for this reason, can be had on the secondhand market for like $7k which makes it a fantastic deal IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if retail prices keep skyrocketing though for the world timers (srs)

Nice one, I missed this. The grey dial looks pretty awesome, BUT:

-rubber strap only, meh
-same movement, just a cosmetic update
-1.5k more expensive new without the bracelet even
-can get the beautiful blue one for 7k

Still hnnnnng, would like to see the titanium version on the steel bracelet (or titanium)

It is expensive as fuark brah. Even the blue world timer retails for nearly $10k now on Omega's website (haven't been tracking Omega retail prices, but it seems like they're trending up up up). The blue world timer still sells for $6.5-7k secondhand, though. I wouldn't be surprised if secondhand prices on world timers go up until eventually being a $8-10k watch used (srs). There just aren't any good options for a similar watch, so I think Omega can flex their muscles with it (as we see them doing with the titanium world timer).

I will say that I love the integrated rubber strap and think it is one of the most iconic/unique design features of the world timer. There are lots of watches with nice bracelets, but very few watches with nice integrated rubber straps that look as good as Omega's IMO
