Hitting the 8 week mark for a strap now boyos. Starting to get impatient. Little communication unless I call. It better be a damn good strap.

Got offered this today. Was hard, but I passed.

Have been waiting for the blue SkyDweller for a year now. The white just didn't feel like it would scratch the itch. And it's too similar to my silver dial datejust.

My AD said she'd keep looking for the blue and that she didn't blame me, but wanted to give me a chance.

Oh well.

ended up with with a GS instead of Nomos. I just love Seiko and haven't had one in a while. 3 day import from Japan

Nice pickup! I still need a GS eventually. Although I might just get a MM300.

It would have been around $6k profit. But it's not worth risking the AD finding out and taking me off the nice list.

Supposedly the blue VC overseas is a one year wait. Not bad at all. Won't be buying it immediately but in a few years I would love to own that watch. The blue dial is the most beautiful in the entire watch market supposedly, and I love the bracelet style as well.
The Overseas Moon Retrograde Date is my exit watch. I inquired with VC about the pricing and availability. $43k and about a year.

Was honestly tempted to sell my Panda to fund it.

I’d say go for it if you like it. Reasonably attractive watch and in your budget.

I'm looking to potentially pick up a SD43 later this year. Not sure where you're located, but it shouldn't be super difficult to find one to try on. At least from what I've seen/heard, demand for the SD43 is nowhere close to the Sub/GMT/Daytona demand. Maybe it helps that I have a friend that is a good customer and sends people in the direction of the store manager he introduced me to, but I've basically been told a SD43 is waiting for me whenever I decide to pull the trigger. I don't think I'm special enough for that to be the case unless they're relatively easy to come by.

I agree with you that it's more interesting and unique than the Sub, and it's less in demand, all of which appeals to me. Hoping I can justify the expenditure in a few months' time. Good luck in your search.

The 34mm has the days in arabic also which I would prefer. Above is the orient with is 42 mm on my wrist for reference

NATO suggestions?

I have a B&R XTREME Nylon Military Watch Strap which I really like. It sat too tall on my wrist so I cut the 'nato loop' off and made it a single pass. At the same time, I cut the strap to length so it doesnt need to be folded over. But I wish the retainer loops sat flush. Do you know of any seatbelt singlepass bands with slimmer hardware?
