Debating buying a Nomos srs. Phillippe Dufour says it's the best watch under $10k. That is an incredible endorsement

Hitting the 8 week mark for a strap now boyos. Starting to get impatient. Little communication unless I call. It better be a damn good strap.

Got offered this today. Was hard, but I passed.
Have been waiting for the blue SkyDweller for a year now. The white just didn't feel like it would scratch the itch. And it's too similar to my silver dial datejust.
My AD said she'd keep looking for the blue and that she didn't blame me, but wanted to give me a chance.
Oh well.

Is this different for the bronze one? It is a special edition but not limited in quantity. On release it used to go for more than retail, now second hand ones are cheaper but the retail price has gone up to £4k

It would have been around $6k profit. But it's not worth risking the AD finding out and taking me off the nice list.

Supposedly the blue VC overseas is a one year wait. Not bad at all. Won't be buying it immediately but in a few years I would love to own that watch. The blue dial is the most beautiful in the entire watch market supposedly, and I love the bracelet style as well.

Forgive this peasant but I would like your opinion on the Citizen Tsuyosa. I think it looks great and within something I can actually afford.

At least from what I've seen/heard, demand for the SD43 is nowhere close to the Sub/GMT/Daytona demand. Maybe it helps that I have a friend that is a good customer and sends people in the direction of the store manager he introduced me to, but I've basically been told a SD43 is waiting for me whenever I decide to pull the trigger. I don't think I'm special enough for that to be the case unless they're relatively easy to come by.
Tried on a Polar Explorer II in person and was very underwhelmed. Considering the Seadweller 43 now as it's a lot more interesting than a sub with the monochrome dial. Finding a display model in stock to try on has been an exercise in futility. The overall Rolex experience has been pretty ****ty…I'm not buying 20k in trinkets for an "opportunity" to buy a ****ing sports watch lol
I agree with you that it's more interesting and unique than the Sub, and it's less in demand, all of which appeals to me. Hoping I can justify the expenditure in a few months' time. Good luck in your search.

NATO suggestions?
I have a B&R XTREME Nylon Military Watch Strap which I really like. It sat too tall on my wrist so I cut the 'nato loop' off and made it a single pass. At the same time, I cut the strap to length so it doesnt need to be folded over. But I wish the retainer loops sat flush. Do you know of any seatbelt singlepass bands with slimmer hardware?
