Spoiler!

I don't dress up too often and this watch is both beautiful and sober enough to work with a polo shirt IMO, what do you think?
As for watches and their quality/reliability, Orient and Seiko are almost always good buys, so you can't go too wrong with them. If you drool over nice watches though, this one might/will disappoint you. It's just an 'open heart' exposing a cheap looking movement. It's good quality for the price, but that's about it. Imo it looks pretty sexy in pics, and pretty meh irl.

Them using a hardlex crystal in their divers has nothing to do with price. It adds a certain aesthetic you lose with a sapphire crystal, similar to your speedy. I would bet their hardlex costs close to what sapphire costs. My orange monster is my drunken beater of three years and the hardlex crystal is still flawless, it's some tough ****.

Hamilton. I'm about to purchase that exact piece. My only issue is that the Hamilton bezel is polished, and will pick up scratches easily. I'm sure a cape cod cloth would fix this, though.

The first one is a ****ty fashion watch. The Seiko is decent, but that Hamilton is in another league compared to those two when it comes to build quality and movement.

Got a new watch coming in from Amazon tomorrow. A cheap beater I've been looking forward to for some time now. Don't know why I haven't picked one up yet. I'm excite.

Interesting.

This watch was given to my dad somewhere 5 to 10 years ago and my dad does not wear watches at all, so it's been hanging in the closet for who knows how long. Warranty stamp shows that it was bought from Sincere Watches Singapore though. Can't find any details on the purchase date or model number.

Anyway, I have contacted AP to get some clarification.

H71466733 that's the model number. The pics don't do it justice on the website it has a lot of contrast and depth from the raised applied numerals and indices. The lume is decent as well.

took some wrist shots while my friend came to visit me from overseas.

also…i did an experiment and put my daytona on rubber. it wasnt expensive or tedious like putting the ROC on leather. so far im liking how it feels.
its light, comfortable (the rolex bracelet was already extremely comfortable), and durable. feels a bit sportier and more casual now.

im sure eventually i will get bored and put the AP back on a bracelet (or trade it for something else) and put the daytona back on bracelet (or trade it for something else). but right now im pretty happy with these 2 pieces and i dont see anything on the horizon that i absolutely feel like i HAVE to have.

But i would like a 26470 Navy….. or a 26170 Panda (H serial) if i can find it in Taiwan. Panda dials are hard to come by. I saw a F Serial last month but I passed on it cause I didnt trust the seller.

As a guy who once loved the look of this watch, don't buy it. It's cheesy and in 2 months you'll be such an elitist snob that you will hate the fact it tries to look like a tourby but isn't.
