Like the money maker? I've never used them but I know a few wedding photographers that swear by them. I'm personaly interested in buying the spiderholster for myself but I've never even seen one in real life.

Those are some pretty nice pics. I really liked your All In one.

What did you mean it was an attempt at a bokeh wall?

It maybe interesting to see what it would look like if you tried tried darkening the background a bit and bringing up the white levels on the cards to bring more emphasis on them

This is what I meant: http://petapixel.com/2016/01/20/crea...aluminum-foil/

So far I've only played with LR adjustment bars so I really don't know how to darken the background and lighten the foreground (but I will look into it!)

I got into photography last fall and all I have is my smart phone but I love it. This summer I think my family will help me get a good camera for my birthday and I will be traveling all over japan to take photos. Its crazy how I never took the opportunity to take amazing photos when I lived there for 18 years. Its true that you dont enjoy what you have until it is gone. Now that I am in college, I always miss Japan and wish I got deeper into the culture.

Anybody have any suggestions on where to go to try and take some great landscape pictures when I have some time off this year? Preferably in the eastern part of the US.

looking to sell my 1 month old 85mm 1.8G afs

Shot 100 pictures with it. Selling it to help pay for a 70-200.

What's a good asking price? I had one guy offer me 360 shipped but I told him no. I paid 425.00 shipped to my door.

I went down to hunts photo today to pick up the last bits and pieces I need to replace the stolen equipment. I see a 150 macro and decided to pick it up. I ask the salesman if it had a hood, collar or sigma bag, he said no. Next to it I see a sigma 70-200, no hood, collar or bag. I see a 17-40, no hood with a tiffen cpl. I purchase the 150 bring it home and sure enough I have the serial number on my paper work. Come to find out, I had purchased my own camera back and didn't notice. I call back to the camera shop and sure enough, all the serial numbers I have match. They have all his contact information (standard operation procedure when buying used equipment).

I'm heading over to the police station now.

Did some light painting using my iPad as the light source. I made a rectangular rainbow in PS and used that image on the iPad's screen to paint. I think I might be onto something here. I'll keep on testing different designs and ideas.

THX brah. Only used a strobe on the 1st two.

#1 I set it up so it was coming from same direction as sun, just to enhance the natural light. It was either metered at exact natural light exposure or maybe 1/3 stop above, cant remember.

#2 Sunset camera left, strobe camera right to fill the shadows. metered strobe to 1/3 stop under exposed just to prevent flat lighting.

Bottom 2 were 100% natty light.

My favorite strobist is Joey L. He preaches what he calls "Additive Lighting". Essentially take a shot w/ available natural light 1st and see where you could place a strobe to enhance it. Basically the majority of the time you will utilize the sun as a main light and your strobe as a secondary. Of course this can change depending on the situation, but viewing lighting in that manner has helped me out.

My lighting/modifiers are always the same, Einstein E640 w/ PCB 47" Octabox gridded. Only ever use 1 light on location.
