Another gutless performance against Seattle with numerous injuries. I'm over Gabbert and how last year and this year so far we haven't performed on the road, we haven't even shown up at all.

Only thing improved is the OL and they aren't doing well in run game but solid in pass pro. Nothing else seems to have improved. I think Ray Ray injury is hurting the D quite a bit but that said no excuses for the performance today and the offense has been anemic last two weeks and the Gabbert schtick is getting old.

Anybody who last year was high on Gabbert needs to come to the realization he was never good, he wasn't an improvement last year over Kap and he won't take us anywhere with his inaccuracy, and throwing short of the sticks every ****ing time. I was never high on him over Kap and at this point I want Kap to start next week. If Gabbert does I will still root for him and the team but holy **** take a ****ing shot sometimes.

We need to figure **** out this is embarrassing.

Welp i'm off the Gabbert wagon guys. Thought he could do something but he just too scared. Kinda revealing when they didn't even try to pass the ball in the garbage time.

Is is me or is the playcalling a little suspicious?

I kept Graham on the bench because I trusted the defense too much.

Fuk! any defense will look bad when the QB has all the time in the world to throw. Just look at what the Vikings did to Cam, he was flustered. An injured Wilson averaged twice as many yards in the air as Gabbert. What good is having a better line than Seattle if your QB is afraid to throw it.

I thought we all understood Gabbert wasn't good?

As for Kaep, three things…

He isn't any better as this has been proven over the last season of games.

Lol if you think he cares about football or playing for this team

People always knocked on the amount of preparation be put in…yet you think this changed?

F no on Kaep. It's going to be a lost season. That's life. We all knew this.

This is the reason I was really bummed out we couldn't keep Driskell on the roster.

The only reason I'd be curious to see Kaepernick out there is because at least the one thing which has been fairly consistent is our pass blocking(crazy thought considering the last few years) but as one dimensional as we kind of were yesterday Gabbert still wasn't sacked.

That's what makes his play even worse imo. It's one thing if you're getting killed back there I can understand a dip in accuracy and performance but if a guy is throwing chit passes from a fairly clean pocket that's just bad QB play.

I do agree in a sense…if he keeps playing that bad and we get a good draft pick out of it, i'll deal with it. I hate feeling this way but I'd rather sit through a dud of a season win wise and get a chance to improve our team with a legit QB for 10+ seasons. I really think we would've drafted QB early this year if not for the 2 trades ahead of us so I think Chip/Trent are looking at Gabbert/Kaepernick as stop gaps.

Still if we're going to tank I'd at least like to tank by playing in close games. Even Cleveland nearly won yesterday. Literally had the game in their grasp and threw it away. Ironically we had 2 wins last seasons with teams doing that against us(missing game winning kicks)

One thing this team needs to figure out how to do is play on the road. Not sure what's going on since we have new coaches but same result. We play so much better on defense at home it's crazy. Granted we'll see how they do against Dallas on Sunday but I would expect us to play much better. Facing a rookie QB should help though losing Ward won't help the defense.

As for the whole QB situation… I am done with Gabbert. He has shown nothing thins year or even last year. I would rather play Kap and at least watch him fail so we can finally justify getting rid of him next year. And honestly he is still a better fit (IMO) in this offense. Hell I am down for playing Ponder right now. It is bad enough you have players from Seattle saying Gabbert is garbage and Kap would be better for the team even with all of his issues.

As far as the play calling it did feel weird. We were able to run the ball on Seattle, but the passing plays didn't seem great. Either than or it is all on Gabbert?

Once again we get beat up by Seattle. I have not heard what everyone's condition is yet but I just hope they are bumps and bruises. Sadly Ward may be bad and I hope he is able to come back at some point this season. I was reading that Seattle only targeted the middle of the field and wasn't able to do a whole lot on the outside. That makes me feel good about who we have at corner. Sadly it looks like Beathea has declined, and we have bad coverage by the ILB's.

Losing Ray Ray has hurt the middle field in run game and pass coverage, losing him wouldn't seem like a big deal but it is. That said the energy we play with on the road is terrible this year and last. At least against Carolina it looked like they were somewhat trying, yesterday was a joke.

Gabbert is terrible, I never had faith in him and always wanted Kap over him but I will root for whoever we put out. But he's 10x more frustrating to watch than Kap IMO. Kap playing with a decent OL and a not giving a fuk attitude about football might actually make him a better player. The last preseason game his touchdown drive he almost looked like he wasn't even interested in being out there and I wouldn't care if he came out and played like that, still would be better than Gabbert.

The OL needs to get more physical on run plays. They are good at holding ground on pass plays but OL they just do the same, move forward on those plays. That said we have faced 3 great defenses so far, especially up front. But it's the NFL you have to overcome that if you want to be great.

The injuries suck but every team deals with those. I blame Baalke a bit for not creating the right situations roster wise and leaving players on the team who may not offer much, starting or otherwise. He needs to go IMO after this year or at some point this year.

Overall we need to see this team bounce back this week at home or it will be a hell of a frustrating time.

Why does Chip always bring up Kap's weight when he talks about him? He says that is not 100% and back at his playing weight. Does that sound funny to you guys? Is there something else going? We all know the upper management does not like Kap. Could Chip be letting Gabbert fail so no one will say anything when he plays Kap?

Not saying Kap will be better, but so far I am not impressed with the offense. With less than stellar QB's with the Eagle they were pretty flashy, here not so much. Or this a combination of lacking some talent among other things or are they not trying to get too cute with Gabbert because he sucks?

Football is a business. The 49ers want no part of a successful Kaep (not that he would be)…but they don't even want to try it. If he were to take over the team and become a top 20 QB, it would absolutely destroy the fan base. I would definitely lose all remaining interest in the team and maybe for life. Dude is a clown and I'm not jeopardizing beliefs for a few football wins.

Also, Bennett is only saying that to stir the pot of course…you think if our back-up were Josh Mccown he would say this? He's backing dude for his own personal interest.

The team is young and has enormous holes…Im in the lose and get a high draft pick. I hate it, but that's life.

Chip Kelly on potentially inserting his backup QB: "If we score 65 touchdowns next week, I don't see (Kaepernick) getting a shot." #49ers

Chip Kelly said #49ers Colin Kaepernick is not ready physically to be “full-go,” but he’s the No. 2. "I don’t think Kap is 100% right now."

Is this real life? But he was healthy enough to play in the preseason. IF he is not healthy enough to play then why is he dressed on game days? There is more going than we are being told.

It's not hard…they don't want anything to do with this guy.

It's like everyone just ignores all the exiting players statements about Kaep…and now he's doing this. SF doesn't give a fuk about him anymore. Chip gave it a shot in talking him into playing…now is probably just aggravated concerning the distraction.

Very curious what happens after this season with the coaches/front office.

Unless the team totally falls apart and everyone acts like they don't care I hope they give Chip another shot next year…hopefully with a QB of his choosing. The biggest question is what we do with Baalke. No question he's done a piss poor job bringing in skill position players and we're paying for it now but he's done some good things too. i think Armstead and Buckner will turn into studs. The secondary has talent, just needs to put it together but I think Reid, Ward, Robinson and Redmond will be cornerstones back there for a while.

He's gotten guys like Trent Brown in the 7th round, Aaron Lynch in the 5th. Kilgore in the 6th and Dial in the 5th.

There is talent on this team, we're just missing some key pieces…unfortunately one of them is QB. Kaepernick seemed like a stud on first look but his head wasn't in it, tough to ask a GM to expect how their brains will work. A non drunk Aldon Smith would make our defense pretty good right now.

We need a stud QB, simple as that. We find him and we'll be back to playoff football. What's fuking frustrating is there's no future possible starter on this roster. Driskell at least had slight potential to be something…we know what we have with the turds on our roster unfortunately.

Biggest thing will be evaluating the right guy in this upcoming draft. One way or another we need a QB to groom. If we end up winning enough games(hard to see) to knock us out of contention for Kizer/Watson do we go with the other guys? Kaaya, Falk…Garoppolo?

Some other guys will likely step up and climb the draft boards and some of those guys may drop but to me this will keep us in chit or get us out of the muck.

Those comments could just be coach speak for "i'm not ready to start fuking with team chemistry and Gabbert's ability to lead the team" or it could be they're legit trying to keep Kaepernick out of the game and don't want to make it obvious by activating Ponder.

For all we know is if Gabbert plays like chit vs Dallas he may pull the plug and go to Kap.

I can understand that but you team is get chit on… IN the NFl it is about winning games not having all this amazing team chemistry. Do you think everyone is excited to have someone who can't even make a throw be there QB? Sure they can be friends but they realize he sucks.

If he's not fully invested in football then its a good thing he is retired. If only Marcus Martin would retire too…

The whole QB situation is a joke. It's York/Paraag/Baalke fault. How we cut Driskell knowing Gab and Kap are mid career and not proven commodities at this point is absolutely garbage move. He has no foresight. Clearly he believes everyone with an ACL tear will be AP like in their returns, cause his foresight is terrible. He makes no plans for the future and cutting Driskell proves that again. Not going for any big signings this year and hoping guys like Michael Wilhoite, or Antoine Bethea, or Vance McDonald are gonna do anything is a joke. He got rid of Harbaugh for being just like himself. Too damn stubborn and arrogant. He believes anybody he puts on the roster is so great just cause he picked em.

Not saying Driskell is the answer or ever will be but he's a young guy with a shot to be. More than Gabbert at this point and we won't ever know with Kap because they just don't like him. If only our front office cared about winning as much as they do about money. Fuking over these clowns. I might drive to Santa Clara just to kick Trent's bitch ass at this point.
