I really don't want this dude on the 49ers unless it's in the mid 3rd round +

Not my best choice of words.

I feel like WRs, RBs, DBs are always a gamble. LBs and the guys in the trenches are usually the safer bets, which is what i think is the biggest need right now.

I think I read somewhere WRs are the highest bust position and OL is the "safest"

I would think RBs are somewhere in the middle. Maybe not the elite backs but if you look around the league a lot early drafted backs make it at least as backups.

Hopefully Baalke gets this one right and stays away from projects at this point unless it's late in the draft.

Looks like Anthony Davis officially can't be counted upon. Lazy fuk trying pretend he's all about winning. More like he doesn't want to run more than he has to.

Hopefully we can trade his rights to someone for a conditional pick of some sort.

I'll be furious if they draft Connor Cook. That guy is a bigger douche than Kaepernick and that's saying something.

I can pretty much stomach any player mentioned as first rounders at #7 though to me it's Tunsil or Buckner there or trade down but if we draft Lynch or Cook at #7 i will lose my chit.

I'm praying Baalke doesn't make that insanity move. No more projects or injured players with a top 10 pick. Just shouldn't happen.

If Lynch is there in the 2nd round or Cook is there late 3rd that's fine.

Honestly I'd rather just try someone like Jeff Driskol in 4th/5th or even see if Vernon Adams can pull a Russell Wilson late in the draft and see what they can do then look at a legit starter next year like Luke Falk.

I never expected him to come back anyway. Even if he did I would expect him to out of shape and doubt he would be even close to his former self.

I'll be pretty happy if we take Lynch at 7. Baalke is probably so full of himself though he thinks we can win without a QB. He is the same guy that thought we could win with any coach so nothing would surprise me.

Lynch at #7 is way too high. Dude is similar to Kap as a prospect…which is not ready to play for at least a year. Lynch is slightly better as a pocket passer at this stage but has inferior running ability(obviously)

#7 is a pick you need to get someone who can play right away or at the very least a guy who could play right away if forced into it. Lynch is too raw to draft top 10. Way too high of a bust factor given the pick value and other talent on the board.

IMO it's between 3 players at #7 for us - Tunsil, Buckner or Stanley…or trade down.

Would love if the 49ers traded back, grabbed an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick and drafted Lynch in the mid 1st round.

If you think he can be a good QB in this league then it's not too high. It's a steal.

At #7 you should be drafting what's pretty much considered a sure thing. I understand it doesn't always wind up that way because you can only control so much but Lynch has a lot of holes in his game right now and is far from a sure thing. You can't draft a potential only QB at #7 overall.

That's basically what Buffalo did with EJ Manuel a few years ago and you saw how that worked out for them.

It's a damn shame that Jack and Jaylon Smith got hurt because they were bluechip prospects at ILB and would've been easy top 7 players. Still between these guys Bucker, Ramsey, Bosa, Tunsil, Stanley one of them will be there for the taking. Jack will likely be there as well but it's one thing to take injury concerns later in the draft but top 10 pick is just hard to invest in a kid you have so many questions on.

Cool, I don't think you do.

You can sit there and say Paxton isn't ready. I think he is. Mariota supposedly wasn't going to be ready to start right away….he had a fine rookie year. Cam Newton supposedly wasn't ready. Threw 400 yards in his first two games.

The NFL is different now. Players are ready quicker than they used to be.

Buckner is the pick! My top choice behind the QBs, tough to fault the pick.

Tunsil was interesting but that video didn't help his cause. Some team could get a steal with him but I'm very happy with Buckner.

I am still curious to see what happens with kap. Do we see a trade by this weekend? I would expect to see something from the second or third round for him if anything happens

Also happy with the pick. Cool to see to players from the same school in the last two years, who also played under Kelly.

OL right now is

Staley, Beadles, Kilgore, Tiller, Brown

It's not pretty but it may be already better than what we started with last year. Hopefully the coaching helps and I'm certain we'll address OL in the draft as soon as tomorrow.
