Are there any laws for where/how you discharge your weapon? I'm guessing it might vary from state to state but if you legally own a firearm are there any rules for how you use it if it's not in self defence?

Other than for self defense it's illegal to shoot inside of city limits but it'll be different for each state.

I don't understand what these people expect to accomplish by doing this.

Yes, preventing people from going about their business and wasting hours of their time in traffic is surely the best way to make them sympathetic to your cause.


Anyone caught doing this should be charged with a count of kidnapping for every car that is stopped and I have no problem saying I hope they all get AIDS.

Sounds lame, but I bet soldiers who have ptsd could easily bump his way thru a crowd of hostile blockade without any repercussion. They 1. are actually hostages, and 2. ptsd soldiers flip out and panic. there is no way they would be held liable as no one is killed, just bumped out of the way. I see it as an arguable defense.

Probably get a fine for unlawful discharge. Depending on the situation, it could be from a misdemeanor to a felony charge and the state laws plays a big role too.

It is actually illegal to protest in the middle of the street without a permit, so if they get hurt, the driver is not at fault. I'm not sure where people are saying they can sue.

If you're going the speed limit, and just keep driving, they either move or it's their own fault. Especially on highways -- pedestrians aren't even legally allowed on highways so there can literally be no legal recourse against you should you hit a person outside of their car on a highway.

If there was at least a point to their protest, maybe I could respect their position, but they are just out there because they are pissed.

If you are going to protest and try to shut down the city, be organized about it, have a list of demands, have a leader to communicate and negotiate the list of demands. Then they might actually get more people.

What demands could BLM possibly have? Get rid of all police.

In Europe, or Canada when they protested the increase in student fees they had specific demands, name specific political officers they wanted removed and they were united enough to literally shut down the city. In the US we just ahve a small group of idiots who piss people off.

There really needs to be protections for those who are subjected to these invasive protests because they put everyone else in possible danger because they've got nothing better to do with their lives than sit in the middle of the street. No permit, no protection. Public roads? No protection. Protesting does not elevate a person's rights or opinions above anyone else's. Having an opinion does not give them the right to endanger others, risk other people's livelihoods and jobs, interpret their education, so on and so forth.

You're dead on regarding the "what if" scenario; anyone else tries the same thing and they'd be publicly condemned and riots would tear through the street.

As for a medical emergency, all bets are off and if that means a few broken bones on their part, maybetheycan learn to sympathize with the need to get the ER.

I don't think that they even know what they want. They're just more militant versions of the Occupy twats, yet the very police they claim to hate are the only thing keeping people from bulldozing over their lifeless bodies. Nothing is ever going to happen because of them disrupting and disrespecting everyone else's lives other than them completely losing all sympathy.

On one hand you want to drive slowly so you push them out of the way and don't hurt anyone in the process. On the other hand you don't want to drive slowly because these ****ing lunatic protestors are just as likely to throw a rock through your window or key your car as you're going through, let alone jump you if you get out.

I would probably just let my car idle and slowly drive my way through. They can't stop the vehicle with their bodies, so it's literally get pushed out of the way by my bumper, get run over, or move over.
