ITT *******s don't know what rugged means. Rugged facially means something like the current Dorien Yates look. Not the pretty boy chit people are posting.

Facial hair and WRINKLES = rugged by definition.

Rugged = "Having a rough irregular surface: rugged terrain. 2. Having strong features marked with furrows or wrinkles: the rugged face of the old sailor."



Clothing-wise rugged means something that will last in the elements.

Honestly its all about the face. Brow, prominent cheekbone lines, wide and defined jaw. Accentuated by tanned skin, rough (but short) beard, small amount of wrinkles (around eyes is best). Longer than average hair but not enough that its unkempt is bonus.
