I went to college with several Australians in Ireland and they were all really cool people. One of my sister's best friends is Australian and I've lived with a couple. In my experience, they were calm, soft spoken, and generally decent. That said, I don't know one Australian guy.

Brah who spent 3 months in Australia checking in

Not sure what this fuzz is about when I visited most people were super chill and friendly towards me. Actually I was surprised at how talkative and welcoming people were compared to other places I've been. The only bad experience I can recall to have had in those 3 months was with some young immature punks at some club, but you'll find those anywhere you go.

Contrary to some of the replies ITT I actually found australians to be much more straight forward than for example most californians are. Californians are known for acting incredibly "fake" and twofaced. In Aus people seem more bold and don't mind swearing a lot or telling you how things are

Also another thing to consider is that Australia has so many visitors, holiday workers and tourists etc so half (if not more) of all people you meet and interact with will actually be foreigners

I think we don't tend to filter ourselves when we're in public is the idea here. So many of us just can't stand the notion of all this political correctness around the world that we shove it outright out of all conversations. Women are never given a podium for "women's issues", black guys are never allowed to play the race card etc.

We like to have a laugh and will do so at anyone's expense. You call that loud an obnoxious, we call you quiet and neutered.

Oh and fuk off we're full

You realize that Irish people have great banter too? But we'll still be respectful, genuine, and not "do so at anyone's expense".

I fully agree on rejecting political correctness, but you can do that and not be a massive loud rebel about it.

the worst part about sydney by far is the women, holy chit it's so bad, the most stuck up pretentious boring basic kunts you will ever meet, nowhere else in the world comes close, and i've been all over

the standard sydney girl has the personality of a cardboard box and thinks the world owes her everything for doing nothing except being born

i can understand hot girls having this mentality even though i hate it, but even the ugly girls act the same

it's mind blowing how bad it is

luckily there are a lot of foreign women here as well so you're not stuck with these kunts

edit: i should probably add that i moved to the north shore which apparently is the worst for it
Brb going to the worst city in Australia that resembles Asia or Lebanon more so then actual Australia then complaining it sucks. Just LMAO
