The movie isn't out yet. All the reviews right now are from people who were invited for pre-screenings. Wonder how carefully those reviewers were hand selected...

I don't think a "passing the torch to an all-female Ghostbusters team" would have been a bad idea. But this whole thing is such a transparent cash grab wrapped up with a lovely dose of pandering to SJWs and feminist propaganda, it seems 100% unlikely the movie will be even moderately entertaining to most Miscers. Unless they just wanna watch it and talk sh!t about all the over the top acting and jokes falling flat over beers with other people who have moderate to good taste and above.

Sadly this won't be a complete bomb. Enough clueless middle aged people will see it just because they see Melissa McCarthy on the poster even though they were never big Ghostbusters fans. You know, the kind of people who paid to watch Tammy, Identity Thief, and whatever dreck she's been in and turned out mildly successful.

Just watch how all the reviews rate it positively and all the audience ratings at 0%.

One critic labelled it "the movie of the summer".

Journalistic ethics, pushing agendas etc all came out during Gamergate and nothing has changed. You cannot believe any media whatsoever because they are either all bought or pushing their own agendas.

I was fuking there and the ghost busters movies weren't that great


I was there too and i loved everything ghostbusters that was in the 80's. The movie legit scared me as a kid, then i grew into seeing it when i was abit older and i favored peter venkman. i could not get enough of him or the guys, who seemed like real friends that worked and hung out together. ego, winston ray were also awesome

then came the cartoons


this was my chit. i had all the toys, the tie in cereals and even the ecto cooler with slimer on it



I literally fell in love with this franchise as a kid. dont get me started on the fukin toys.

the ghostbusting was cool as was the characters that filled out the team. that , essentially , is why it worked then. I'm sure if they had a frame by frame remake with 4 other guys , it would fall flat because theres only 1 bill murray for example

this chit here that is being forced into theaters by sjw's hasnt got the same feel over all and is being used as propaganda for political reasons.
the film makers went out and said guys like me, the man babies who loved the movie, are haters for not loving this movie. They alienated the people that made it possible for this to even be a franchise then goaded people into thinking that if they dont support it they are sexist.

i hope it fails so this never comes back again. lets all agree to leave ghostbusters in the past, where fans like myself can rewatch on dvd privately and not see it bastardized for some social agenda

yeah it got 900,000 dislikes on YouTube, but it still got 260,000 likes. It will easily make its money back, but it won't make anywhere near as much as it should have. It should be pulling in Star Wars 7 and Jurassic World type figures, but it won't get near that.

Rotten Tomatoes 79% with 58 reviews in.

I sort by Top Critics (14) and only 2 of them are reviewers I read weekly or see pop as what the industry trusts (I run a movie theatre).

I am curious to see if Collider's Matt Goldberg will review this. He's hyper critical in his reviews, but at least he's honest.

I went to RT to look at the reviews and every one that's positive is a female. lol! It looks like this movie was seriously pre-screened for a mostly female review audience or they are being paid off to post positive reviews.

It's sitting on 3.7/10 on IMDB after just 2,400 user reviews. That score will keep dropping. Sounds like legitimately one of the worst films ever made.

All this movie is trying to do is try to be as "2016" as possible. It fails to be funny, the cast members are all female, so it appeals to the SJWs either way. I swear to god our society is going down the ****hole as time goes by and this is irrefutable proof when movies like this come out.

Watched the classic GB this weekend. Never seeing the new one. The original cast didn't have to try to be funny, they just were. The new cast has to try so damn hard to be funny that it's not funny in the least bit.
