Talking to women (or people in general) becomes much easier when you realize how weird and flawed human beings are.

Yes, but then again I live in NY where you get catcalls/cold approaches, because its so densely populated.

Nevertheless, the guys I ended up being into are shy asf.
Had to make the moves on my bf.
I want to forget mistakes they've helped me make

I do approaching from time to time and I don't see other guys doing it often

Maybe once every 50 times I go out I see someone trying to spit game (outside parties/clubs/bars)

I don't like pure cold approaching. I prefer seeing signs first before approaching, but the less aesthetic you are the less signs you're going to get.

This was recent, I think my past relationship made me feel that way.

Also, alot of my interests etc are usually very male oriented and more "outgoing" males want a woman who is ..more dainty I guess?

idk I've had men tell me that in the past so. *shrug*

As of right now, I'm not treating her like a sloot, and our dating has been pretty ideal. Feels like I'm dating a best friend (no homo)

Usually when I ask women out in person, which I will admit is not often. Usually they agree and flake on me the day of the "date", more than once I've gone to the designated place and been stood up. They act like nothin even happened and some have even have the gull to ask me "when are we hanging out"

I do think that this is worth continuing. The "major apps" have completely changed everything I'd say. It's too convenient, but the men that aren't favored on the apps are rotting instead of taking advantage of the lack of approaching going on these days.

I don't think they do. I think ppl just meet as coworkers or mutual friends and then they just agree to hang out. I don't think ppl really just go up to ppl they don't know well and ask them out. Ppl these days are way too closed off these days. And men's confidence is at an all time low these days.

I hear ya, but in the event that you're also speaking for yourself; think of how much you stand out for asking women out in person. Even if you are faking your confidence, that's a huge leap ahead of other guys relying on tinder.

Jesus... sounds like unnecessary drama you don't need in your life. I hope you feel like you are better off without that one--from my perspective I think so. There's other women who know what they want and won't play games.

My personal experience: my boyfriend was the one who asked me out through text. I met him once at school and then he detectived my school email and sent a message the next day. Not going to lie--was a bit suspicious at first.

I think that was the only time I've been asked directly on a date.

I'm definitely good now. Everyone that knew both of us kept telling me to GTFO, but I was blinded by emotion and how physically attracted to her I was. Now I want to slap myself for putting up with it.

As for your situation, I'm a little surprised that the detective thing didn't turn you off completely lol. That's impressive stuff, and I'm happy its working out so far. I feel like other miscers need to see that a lot of men aren't asking women out like they think. Even the "chads"

I can't read the whole thread cause no time, but OP you're doing it right! To me, a real man approaches in person. It shows confidence.

For all the guys that are scared, so what if she says no? As long as she's polite about it, it shouldn't make you feel bad. So what if she says she has a boyfriend? She just may, and if she's fibbing at least she's not being a jerk about it by acting like a B. Just freaking do it if you want to. I'm not online and I don't really do social media so I'm not getting asked out online, for me it's great when a guy asks me out in person. Even if I'm not interested, I am always polite and never mean to them.

Oh sheesh! Didn't know this was an old thread that just got bumped. lol
