But what iOS does burn through is data, or at least seems to use it inefficiently. Borrowed my bro's phone for a day and ran only one app on both for 2 hours, 11 mb gone vs 6 mb on my brother's note.

reminds me of iphone 6 BENDGATE where the iphone would literally bend and keep a deformed shape because the metal got hot. and apple stopped replacements after 6 months. nice customer service.

I still don't like Apple. But then again I've never been a Samsung fan either.
Let's not pretend apple has never had problems like this though.

The reason people call out Apple is because they don't own up to their mistakes.
Samsung:
Battery has exploded on a few phones, recalls all phones, gives you a free replacement, and when the issues with the Note 7 are resolved let's you switch back to a new Note for free.
Apple:
Phone bends, don't put it in your back pocket.
Losing connection all the time, you're holding it wrong.
Battery explodes, it's not our fault, takes a class action lawsuit for them to rectify the issue.

Apple could have handled that better but I had no sympathy for those people when this issue occurred.

Bro,
this is a black eye on the Samsung brand forever. Just symbolically.
They sent small kids to the hospital and endangered lives the products were that bad. It sends a message beyond just this 4th quarter bust they are about to have and they are set to lose BILLIONS.

It's not even enough to warrant a recall, but they did it anyway.
Not sure why this is such a big deal with the current issues going on around the world. Shows you how pathetic people's lives really are.

With that being said, you have to give it to the Japanese; the lengths they go to for their customers is insane. I really wish I could say that about Apple. Fuk those guys. Always give me grief even though I've spent thousands of dollars with them.

You're analogy would be more akin to me saying "someone dropped their iPhone, all iPhone users are stupid".
But that's not what I said, I'm questioning you in your thoughts that all iPhone problems are because users can't figure out iphones. We don't see big user caused issues on android so people must be working those out just fine. So if what you are saying is true, then it's a problem with the phone itself being difficult, or the type of person to buy that phone being a dumbass.
Edit: sorry, I assumed you were the original person I was responding to, but considering my question was directed at something he said then my point still stands.

The great Steve Jobs once said:
Some people say, "Give the customers what they want." But that's not my approach. Our job is to figure out what they're going to want before they do. I think Henry Ford once said, "If I'd asked customers what they wanted, they would have told me, 'A faster horse!'" People don't know what they want until you show it to them. That's why I never rely on market research. Our task is to read things that are not yet on the page.
So now hopefully you understand.
