I had an older lady let the door slam in my face after my knee surgery when I was walking into rehab. On crutches.

or maybe I was just involved/reading when it happened and didn't realize it took off lmao

but cannot confirm OP, I have my gf open doors for me. I used to open them for her and she used to expect it, but one day we pulled up to noodles and I just stared at the door handle until she opened it. Haven't touched any doors other than my drivers side car door since.
It was just a few weeks ago. The thread had everyone dying but when we tried to spread it, no dice.

I agree. Slamming the door on someone's ass because they didn't say thanks is like "nice guys" that end up acting like fking mental cases when they don't get the girl.

Probably got in the elevator first so her reasoning was that she should get out first.

I never hold the door for anybody. If I notice people behind me I'll hold it open as I'm walking through and its up to them to catch it.

The worst is when you pull open a door and somebody is on the other side and decides to go through. I've actually blocked the door and pushed my way past them. I'm not your door holder buddy you should wait till I'm through.

The alternative is to block them and walk through letting the door close behind you. Rude, in my opinion
Or they stand to the side and let you through?

Next thing you know you're that guy holding the door open for a group without so much as a thank you.

If there are several doors I actually move to another one to avoid these situations.

I can't think of a time a girl has held the door open for me, even if I'm a foot behind her.

Bros on the other hand, they always hold the door open as i walk by. We give each other the silent "thanks brah" head nod acknowledge.

If anyone in the group has any manners they will hold the door and take over. No one should have to let 50 people go lol. Once a few have been through someone should take over and let the original person go and so on.

Edit: even more so if the group is actually together.

I normally keep a mind check of which people I had a negative or positive experience with when opening doors. Most are thankful and say thank you, as do I. Those that don't, I learn from the first time and I make sure the door is closing right behind me as I enter.

I remember one hefty white chick who was coming in for orientation and I held the door for her and this bitch had the most vile look on her face( of course no thank you or anything). The very next day, she was walking in at the same time and I made sure to look back at her and close the door as I entered. I do the same with tipping; wanna be a kunt that wants to act like I'm bothering you, then you get bare minimum. The nice chick always gets a nice tip.
