Would save less bloodshed in the long run to just sort it out now.

We saw the complete inefficiency of over 50 tomahawk missiles on a Syrian air base (planes still taking off now, wtf) so no doubt the war will go atomic. Such a shame humans are dumb as fukk and can't get along.
It's already about oil. You do realize why Russia supports Assad right? The whole reason for Russia's interest in Syria is to control pipelines and ports so the Saudi's can't get theirs through to Europe. They are backing a pipeline originating from Iran that goes through Iraq and Russia. It's the same reason Russia took over Croatia, to control the gas pipelines feeding Europe.......

It's not the US fighting to control Syria's resources. Hell, we could end all of this tomorrow if the US Congress would get off their asses and make exporting oil and gas to Europe legal....

Pretty sure this article isn't accurate at all. Journalists just get their views from clickbait articles claiming WWIII.

That being said, if Putin and the rest of the Russian government have an oz of sense they know attacking the U.S. would be suicide.

I ain't goin'. If they draft, I'll spend my time in jail. I have no interest in taking part in this stupid war. Syria is not my phuckin' problem. It's not America's job to police the world, and Trump's actions have been completely inconsistent with his initial stance.

None of our recent wars make any sense really. Rogue terrorist group attacks US, kills about 3000 of our civilians. We launch a war with the government of the country (if you can even call it that...it was more like a ragtag group of regional warlords being held in check by a religious nutjob dictator) in which the rogue terrorist group resided because the guy claiming to be in charge had the audacity to demand evidence that the guy we thought was responsible for the attacks was responsible, and refused to extradite him on mere demand out of a sense of loyalty for past military services provided by the accused. Then, within less than a couple of weeks, we proceeded to launch a full scale invasion, which led to a war that resulted in 26,000 of their country's civilians dying. We also paid in blood with about 5,000 military deaths from our own country and our allies. Oh, and we didn't get the guy or stop their terrorist movement during the war. We eventually got the guy in a whole other country, like 200 miles away. He was chilling there, in a country which we had previously counted among our allies. OK.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that other war. The one over doctored intelligence, in which we claimed that Saddam Hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction. Only there weren't any. Hey, it's not like this exact same thing wasn't tried against Saddam prior in history, right? Oh wait, we did. We claimed he was making WMDs and tried to initiate military action against Iraq prior to the Iraq War if you consider desert fox. The CIA had been trying for years to dethrone Saddam. Funny that desert fox happened during the Lewinski scandal. It's also funny that right before 9/11, Afghanistan had cut opium production by like 99% in response to an islamic ban on opiates by Mullah Omar. Then, after the invasion, it went right up again to being a major exporter of opiates globally. Oh what isn't funny though is the 6,000 military personnel of the US and its allies that died in the war in Iraq. Also, let's not forget the 200,000 or so Iraqi civilians that died because we made a little oopsie? Oh, and funny story. Desert fox is the reason Osama hated us so much. Because we mobilized forces to Saudi Arabia, and they took our help over his in posturing against Saddam. Cool.

Like, when you really look at this. In what world are these wars remotely justifiable? How does this even make sense? Why didn't we just follow international law? Osama Bin Laden was a criminal. He should have been held accountable. We should have provided evidence. There should have been an extradition and a trial, and if the host country wouldn't extradite, we could have just sanctioned them. We didn't need to go in and kill tens of thousands of people, and lose more of our own just so we could feel like we were accomplishing something. When you really look at the result of all of this, our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan have resulted in a stronger fundamentalist movement emerging. Those people phucking hate us now, and they will hate us forever. Because we came in and killed a bunch of theirs. They have vowed to destroy us. There will be no peace now. We acted irrationally, hundreds of thousands of people have died. Those people had families. Those who survived have vowed to take revenge. That's the irrational cycle of violence. That's why we have law.

Also, funny story. "Prior to the Soviet occupation and Taliban takeover, Afghanistan was a relatively liberal country with a progressive outlook on women’s rights. Afghan women comprised 50% of government workers, 70% of schoolteachers, and 40% of doctors in Kabul." Yeah. Then, chit went down. The Soviet war wrecked their society. Then, a bunch of warlords and thugs took over. Then, a religious movement emerged to control the thugs and warlords. Then, you had sharia law, and literacy rates dropped dramatically. Iran also used to be much more liberal until we meddled. This is the nature of things. We go around trying to phuck up other countries to further the agendas of whoever the phuck is in power behind closed doors. (We aren't the only ones that do this obviously, Russia and China have done this countless times as well.) They tell us these wars are for x or y reason, and they appeal to your emotions, but really, deep down, we all know none of this makes any phucking sense. We all know something is terribly wrong, but we pretend like it's OK. For most of us, these wars were just an afterthought. Most of us didn't personally see the carnage, so it's easy for us to sit around and ignore it.

These warmongering idiots need to be removed.

Also, if you're one of those people that has absolute faith in the US government, I suggest you read about Nixon's meddling with peace talks during the Vietnam war, and the ensuing 15,000 american soldiers that died because of his treasonous political ambitions. Also, check out such brilliant programs by our government like MKUltra and Operation Northwoods. Then, ask yourself if you really trust these phucking people. They do not care about you, the soldier, the common civilian, the law abiding citizen, the average joe trying to get by. They only use you to further their agenda. One day, we will all need to stand up, and say "No, this is phucking retarded, and we aren't going to listen to you, anymore."

This. He'll be coming back crying that his best friend got blown to bits guarantee it

then he'll be homeless because his mental disorder prevents him from getting a job

the liberals who would've tried to do something for him no longer give a chit because they had to go to war too and he'd just be a weakling who needs to man up

Stopped reading thread right here if you think I'm gonna go fight a war that was instigated by the god emperor (or anyone else) and doesn't have anything to do with protecting the freedoms of the people of this country and is solely about corporate/government financial/power interests well the jakes on you. Will gladly go to jail.

Now if they attacked us or did some 9/11 chit and declared war and threatened to go even further then yes.

But to satisfy the power goals of a couple of elite cockbeaters then no.
