My buddy lost his dick. Srs

Riding along and a 16 year old chick pulled out of a church a T-boned him.

Had to pee via bag and no more bonners!

Of course I have about 50k plus miles then him and never touched the ground.

Are you the type to panic and lock up? Or see the threat and flog out of it? If you're #1 you are going to have a bad time.

I've been riding since I was 5. Started on the street in 94 and still rider almost everyday. I can't stand being in a cage!

The best advice I can give it to ride aggressively once you build up your skills. My goal when dealing with other cars is to leave them behind as soon as I can. I also look around at traffic lights and see which drivers are playing with their phone or shoving a Big Mac down their yap. Those are the ones to stay away from and leave them in your dust as quickly as possible.

You can't ride aggressively all the time, but you always have to be focused 100% and expect the cagers to do stupid crap.

I have plenty of metal in my body from years of racing motocross, but so far I've only been down once on the road due to an elderly gentleman turning in front of me and stopping mid turn. I low sided to avoid him and was just a little bruised up thank goodness.

I ride in the mountains a lot for fun and see peeps carted off the road every weekend. Know your limitations, but find an open parking lot and practice things like emergency braking, quick swerves, etc.

I ride pretty much ride everyday for the last 10 years and I have only had two official incidents that required insurance and none of them left me with scratch. When you ride you have to have the mindset that everybody in driving a car is trying to kill you. As long as you are hyper aware and vigilant you might live lol.

I would definitely suggest you start riding if you can. I think that riding a motorcycle has done as much for my personal development as weight lifting. You learn so much about controlling emotions and pushing through fear and discomfort. Its also extremely humbling because they have so much power they have limits you have no business exploring in most situations. Think of it like riding on the back of a tyrannosaurs-rex with rabies. Its trying to kill you but before it does there is no greater rush.

Not worth it imo unless u live in a rural area. Everyone and their mom is texting and driving nowadays and no one pays attention to the road. It's not a matter of if it's a matter of when u get hurt no matter how good your driving skills are

Almost hit a deer one night on the highway. My bike went sideways, but luckily I corrected by some act of God. Sold the bike a couple weeks later. Too many things are out to kill you and you have absolutely no protection.

Just got in from ride.
Saw a nasty accident in London. Some guy on a 125cc scooter hit a car on Edgware road in london.
Paralysed.
He was probably going under 25mph at the time.

there was a lady in canada that got 5 years for mansalughter, she stopped on the highway (a ****ing 10 lane busy metro area highway) to let some ducks cross, 2 bikers (dad and daughter) are dead now.

if that doesnt tell you how stupid people are, go ahead and ride a bike, i was in a few instances where if i wasnt in a car (bitch full on breaks to turn left with no signal on a one lane road going 80km/h in a car) that i would probably be missing a few bones.

You say that but it sounds like you weren't keeping proper following distance. Especially during rain, you should never get "short stopped."

As a rider, you will have people and all types of vehicles not see you. I've had pedestrians walk in front of me, cars cut me off and I myself have had to short stop for someone on a moped who didn't see me as he cut a left turn opposite me at a bad intersection. I didn't see him either until he was in my line of travel. Rider invisiblity is a real thing and isn't just due to bad driving - everyone gets used to just seeing cars on the road.

I've had many close calls due to being invisible to other cars. It's unavoidable but you can reduce the risks by overcompensating and being an extremely defensive driver in the city. The hardest part about riding IMO is keeping cool and not abusing the throttle during city riding as it's just a bad habit and can give you tunnel vision. You have to be extra vigilant about the places where accidents most often occur - intersections

Closest call I had was stopping for an orange light that was about to turn. The old sloot behind me didn't see me and nearly rearended me, evidently thinking she was gonna rush through the orange. I heard her horn right as I was switching into first and didn't have time to react and get the **** out of the way, luckily she stopped soon enough. Now I installed an additional convex mirror on the end of one of my handlebars so I can see behind myself better when stopping.

Speaking of which, a lot of the stigma of biker safety is due to sport bike *******s stunting and speeding in the city. If you are not a ****ing ******* you will have a much lower chance of injury when riding then the stats say.

Something about sport bikes draws accidents - not sure if its the chicken or the egg.

When I took the motorcycle safety class I was absolutely shocked at how many people there had plans to ride a motorcycle. I'd say about 75% of them lacked the awareness, patience, nerve, intelligence, and skill to ride a motorcycle. I remember one lady during a stopping exercise dropping her bike, going hysterical, while still having the throttle fully engaged. Then she went hysterical when the instructor told her she should reconsider her desire to ride a motorcycle and asked her to leave for her safety and everyone elses.

I wish clueless people trying to get drivers licenses were treated the same way as that lady. It's unbelievable how many people on the road are absolutely clueless with their multi-ton caged killing machines. Yet, we hand out drivers licenses like they're candy.

if only the would, i live near an asian part of town and im ****ing scared for my life in an SUV, cant ride round here, anyone i know that rides stopped after near death ****.

Life is dangerous sometimes. If you ride, you know this and still do it. The payoff is well worth the risk. Most times when guys wreck their first concern of course, is their bike. thats the way it is for me. I crashed a couple years back on a super twisty road. Broke my collar bone, ankle a bunch of ribs and my wrist. pretty sure i had a concusion as i was literally seeing two directions for about 20 minutes. that scared me but it cleared up so figured i was good to ride.

I was about 90 miles from home and rode all the way home. figured if i had to take an ambulance they would put my bike in some filthy impound lot and i knew i was pretty bad off so it would have been there for a long time. after all that i probably would not be able to afford to get it out so i figured i would just ride it home and put it in the garage where it belongs.

that ride was very long and sucked but by god i did it. would do it again too to keep my bike.

Look around you when you are driving (when it's safe to do so of course). Look at all the people behind the wheel, driving around. When you get on a bike, you are trusting every one of those people with your life or serious injury, whether you like it or not. Be careful.

That is what i was thinking, i think near me it'd be best to just ride at night or when no one is on the road. I dont want to ride like a crazy **** in the middle of ass traffic.

Was thinking of being a mega pussy and maybe even chilling if the traffic gets too bad during the day when i get a bike, if im not that busy.

what are your thoughts on that?

Went to pick up coffee 2-3 weeks ago without gear, old lady ran a red light, i swerved to avoid a bad collision but she still clipped my rear tire, bike went down on top of my leg. Got some bad road rash (was wearing sweats), need to wear gear more often but when will i learn?
