Instacucked by biology. It was such a humiliating and terrifying experience, I can totally see praying in my head if sh!t was permanent / even more serious.

On the other hand, I was mis-identified as a suspect in shooting somebody in the head once, arrested and I was chitting pants the entire time as well... but that wasn't nearly as scary because I still had myself. but maybe I'm just a pucci. that's a possibility as well.. or maybe that's the childhood trauma of being raised a christian? like you can never get away from it for good if you've been indoctrinated from birth? idk
I think being raised a Christian has a lot to do with it, especially since there is a measure of guilt by "turning your back on Christianity".

I haven't been in your situation to where my life was in danger so I can't speak on how I'd react. If I was dying, I think my thoughts would be "if there is a god, save me" but I don't know if I'd break down into a feeling of "I'm sorry for being a sinner and non believer, lift me up to heaven!" I feel like that's a cop out and last resort attempt at trying to make peace with yourself. Trust me, I would love for there to be a higher power and a deeper meaning behind life but I can't if the explanation isn't logical.

When you're dying, you don't think logically. You just want to be at peace, so sometimes one last glimmer of hope that there is something more is what helps people come to terms with death. I don't think that's a big indicator that they're a believer.

you don't need to believe in god to be happy. At the end of the day you have a brain, and body. That's all you need and some patience and dedication. You have all the tools you need to succeed you just need to learn the necessary skills and execute. That means no more miscing and watching netflix. You have no right to complain about a bad life if you posting on these forums and watching movies or playing games. Your using your free time for entertainment nothing wrong with that but don't complain your life sucks when you don't try improve it.
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

Going through the worst times in your life: death in the family, divorce, homelessness... and believing that this happening to you is a good thing because the stars are gonna align and the specific horrific chit that happened is made it possible for the good thing that's coming next to happen

I wish I could believe... all this fkn red pill chit worked out by STEM loving FA's who have nothing better to do but sit there alone and philosophise and get smarter and reach a greater understanding - when what might be best is to just kill half your braincells getting kicked in the head by a horse and then go to church
Casting away your arrogance would be the first step to enlightenment. It would be the best thing that ever happened to you.
I consider myself a Christian, but I don't believe... I try to and I want to but I can't internalise it
Then you're only kidding yourself.

Also science claims fact before admitting fiction so your credibility is limited. At least religion is up front with what's on the table. TBH you seem more the sheep
lol. Wasn't gonna even deign this farce of a response with a reply but I can't help myself. Religion up front?! Religion constantly changes it's interpretations as time goes on and times change. Ridiculous statement.

Science claims fact after rigorous testing and as soon as someone debunks it with newer methods/thoughts then the old way of thinking is thrown out the window.

Why do I have to be a black hole of a person? Why do I have to be negative? I don't look down on everyone, but I do begrudge parents brainwashing their children, yes. I think it's disgusting.

I am a scientist, if I was you I'd be embarrassed for posting about being a tradie. I'd rather be dead than work such scum bucket job for peasant change.

And yet the first principle of the scientific model is the hypothesis: the suppository (faith) that a thing is true. You can argue the context all you want but the result is the same.
Embarrassing post tbh
In fact, the embarrassment, is on you.

I can consider myself whatever I want to

To me being a Christian is just attempting to be a better person every day, and trying to help others... I do those things, then I'm a Christian whether or not I can internalize the idea of doing those things for God/For eternal bliss or whether or not I can believe that God has a plan for me

Like I said I want to believe those things because I know it would make me happier within myself to believe in that delusion but I can't force myself to, not I want to believe as means to an end that might not exist

1. Yes
2. I wouldn't call microorganisms who
3. Why does it have to be a who? Maybe it is a what. Maybe the elements were always around in some form. Why does anything we don't know the answer to have to be attributed to something we can personify? Nobody knows for sure.
