But physical fitness is a different matter. Both parties should take care of themselves physically. It's not your spouse's job to manage that for you. Peopleshouldhave standards for their significant other.

Besides - when you let yourself go (get fat) you're sending a message to your spouse that you don't care enough about them to maintain your physical looks. That they're not important enough for you to control your eating habits and/or exercise.

That's not the same thing. We are talking here that he stayed the same and she improved.

Let's say your husband gets a body like this in three years.

Would it be ok for him to leave you then?

To be fair, I'm sure that would be extremely hard on even the best of marriages. The amount of women who do this though is sickening. It's like they were just staying with the person because they felt they couldn't get anyone better (which is a ****ty reason)

They had such low self esteem that they just took the first guy that gave them validation. When they lost weight and more guys started to notice them, they dumped their husbands who stayed by their side when they were fat asses.

1st, that's not what happened...so not a good comparison. It went the other way, she was fat then got thin.

And I hope people who married their wife and had kids would just instantly leave if she got fat(Or if one got "better" looking and then dumped their significant other.). Now, that being said, I would defiantly tell her( or in the case if the guy is fat) how I feel and say she needs to stopping fat so she doesn't die.

Lol...trying to make the guy the bad person some how in this....please stop.

Marriage is not primarily about love, or happiness or attraction or anything like that. It's about family, having and raising children. Almost no one these days seems to recognise this.

Good luck finding that one-in-a-million woman to be your 'wife'.

Marriage - for men - in this day and age is practically like signing your own death sentence. It's a lose-lose deal 99.99999% of the time.

That's why I asked for husband's pic. I don't know the details other than what's in OP.

Yes, if his body stayed the same, and she changed - that is wrong. Again, she's a scumbag for leaving him once she got hotter. No doubt.

My husband can do what he wants. I have a lot more to offer than just looks - if he chooses to go with a hotter woman - that's on him. I'm not too keen on babysitting anyone. If that's his happiness, he can go. lol. Lucky for me though, my husband is much smarter than that.

He's not the bad person.

If my husband got obese, I'd work with him to get back into shape. If he truly cares for me, he'll do what's necessary to keep both of us healthy and strong.

It's sad to see that people change when their bodies change. Narcissism and high ego are side affects of any body transformation. Left unchecked, it leads to stories like OP.

No pity for the husband since he made not just one but two fundamental mistakes:
He married.
And he married a whale.

Me? Nah - because I have other things that are more important to me. I've been in very tough scenarios in life and don't believe in jumping ship under any circumstance unless it's extreme, like cheating, renouncing religion, physical abuse.

God forbid, if my husband developed an addiction, I'd stay and help him through it. If he lost his ability to work, I'd support both of us and the family. Etc.

.....

All I'm saying with my posts is that people should not have double standards. MOST dudes would at least think about leaving their wife if she became unattractive to him.

Hope she gains it all back, turns into a cat lady and lives in misery for the rest of her existence.

Most likely a bunch of dudes are going to use her as a sex-object, then when she's lost the "glow," some balding, fat, rich dude will become her beta provider for life. It's usually how it goes.

Come on guys. Attraction is subjective.

Like, it depends on how attractive she is and what she thinks she can get for what she will say is attractive.

Let this be a lesson to you homos that think women don't care about looks and your quirky weirdo behavior and unusual appearance is what attracted them to you. They are just settling.

Whoops ,the quote about ex not getting memo on dumping someone for health reasons

This ,my ex early on dumped me cuz I had anxiety from too many antibiotics ,swore she'd never do it again ,then did it on my bday ,and like a dope I hung around for a year and a half only to have her tell me on wens she wanted to be my best friend and wife ,then go out on a date and block me on the following Friday
