My gains have been exactly the same since dropping whey protein.
On rough estimate, I get 80gms of protein from food and have been seeing consistent growth, similar to when I was having the same diet + 2 scoops of whey protein (additional 50gm protein)

If i remember i think there was a dude who did testing on some different companies.
Wish they did one on Bulk Nutrients which is the one i use.
^One of the main reason i only take whey is because of that price.

What was the most/least amount of protein consumed per day and what was your lean mass and strength levels during those times?
I would say the least i ate was around 100 grams per day, and the most was around 220 grams per day....since i am not trying to get as huge as possible, i found that protein amount didn't really had any effect as much as total calories
during a cut, i would drop my calories to around 1500-1600...which of course makes the body feel weak and slightly lethargic, but more cut.
On average, eating around 2300 - 2400 maintenance for me, no matter how much fluctuation in Protein content, i never found a difference.
Nowadays, i get around 120-140 grams of protein per day, slightly under 1g/lb and i am maintaining well although i only lift 2-3x week compared to 4-5 times in my middle 20's

I hear a lot of people eat 3000 Cals per day. But conservatively, lets use 2000 cals.
if you only consume 100g of protein, thats 400 cals... what does your other 1600 cals consist of? fats and carbs?

1g/lb seems to be the best for me when training 6-7 days a week. Soreness on the 2nd day after a workout is a good sign to up protein.
