prolly 1k total in the fall. Even a 10 lb rock to the dome could kill you. Imagine laying down and someone wheeling down a 45 plate towards you. Another person would probably get killed but it would cushion you. Highly doubt they were buried under a ton of rocks.. just he jumped on her and one/some hit him fatally while his body protected her for the most part.

Anyway, I'd rather die protecting a loved one than some other random ass occurance.

I think rock climbing and motorcycle riding are two of the most beta negative risk/reward activities a person can participate in. Could literally take two similar guys one with a bmw motorcycle and amateur rock climbing career another with a few cycles and girls and guys will want to fuk and befriend the juice guy every time. Saving someone's life doesn't entitle you do date them or anything. Do you really want to be with someone just because they're infatuated with the idea that you saved them, and when that inevitably wears off they have mixed feelings? Good deeds should be done not for the rewards, because honestly sometimes there won't be one, but rather they should be done because it's what you consider it to be the right thing to do in that specific situation.

In the world of "equality", why is the burden of having to put your life on the line ONLY expected from a man and never a woman?

This thread speaks so much truth.

I actually know a guy who got married at 21, wife died at 24. Even though he was attending Arizona State, a big party/sloot college, he reframed from messing with any of those sloots. And to this day he hasn't gotten with a woman and refuses to do so. That speaks volumes about men

It all depends on one's personal values. You're making a gross generalization, but I would agree that it happens less often the other way around. As for her not caring, I don't know if you have ever experienced a traumatizing event (I hope you don't), but a lot of people naturally shut down their emotions and feel as though things are quite surreal. Now, I may be completely wrong, but that's my rationalization of the issue.
