I've lost a decent amount of muscle. Tearing longhead of bicep + constant knee pain has set me back physically and prevented me from doing enjoyable athletic activities with any consistency/intensity.

That time is learning about weight training, your body and how it works and responds to different stimulus, and reaching physical and mental maturity. Once all that is well understood, the physical time to ideal/fit body can be done within 3 years.

6/10, I’m fairly lean at this point but wish I was 5-10 pounds heavier at a similar body fat percentage.

Currently 5’9” 160 lbs.

I'm happy with my shape. I was given broad shoulders and a small waist and fast metabolism. I have to get big though. I'm currently DYEL but I'm still a beginner with weights, so there is hope brehs.

We grading on the curve here?

Grouping in classes by age?

4/10 if I have to grab a number. Reasonably fit and height/weight proportionate.

Could be much worse, but fatter than I want to be and looking my age.

Extremely happy.

I still remember the day that I started lifting seriously at the gym. 2012, beginning of my second year of university. Set a goal that I wanted to look good enough to be on the cover of a mens health magazine. Knew it would take years of work but I was committed and knew If I would get it eventually if I wanted it badly enough.

Very pleased with the work that I've put in and have met all my fitness related goals. I just lift now because It's a huge part of my life, I love it, and I want to look this good forever. No real goals anymore, my workouts are a lot shorter because I work so much now, but still get to the gym 5 times a week and don't ever plan on stopping.

Now? I'm pretty happy with my body overall. I work my ass off and that's all I can do. I'm not thrilled with my arms due to over a year off of upper body because of injury/surgery but I'm working hard to get them to where they were. Can't do much more than try.
Everybody is their own worse critic, familiarity breeds contempt, we're all the most familiar with ourselves

Most of us know all the stuff "wrong" with ourselves, and are usually to varying degrees more focused on/preoccupied with them than the rest of the world.
