Lol'd so hard when she was like "now they're free" and took the collars of the horse thingies. Like wtf. It's a small island in a place with crazy advance tech, they're going to get hunted down easily.
The issue with the character was she was inconsequential and could have been replaced by anyone. Having minority characters does not bother me but they need bring something to the table. It could have been Barbara Palvin playing her and I'd still be like wtf was the point.
The worst thing about the film was how different it was to the first one, which I wasn't a huge fan of but it set some stuff in motion that I was hoping would get adequate continuation/endings in this one
Relationships (Rey/Finn, Finn/Poe etc) that were set up weren't expanded or developed upon. Storylines didn't have the payoff after building it up in the first movie.
The continuity was dreadful and I don't understand why they wouldn't just keep the same director for the entire trilogy, especially if they don't agree on the direction of the story from the onset. Could you imagine if anyone other than Peter Jackson did the entirety of the LotR trilogy? Shambles.

Her character was just kinda forced and pointless, the movie could do with or without her. Kylo Ren's character is way worse, literally the weakest villain and main character in any Star Wars film.

THE REALITY IS WHITE PEOPLE JUST WANT TO WATCH WHITE PEOPLE
Especially the Science Fiction Market which is predominately a white male American audience. SF movies and shows aren't popular in East Asia (never mind Africa or Latin America). I've legit asked countless Chinese / Koreans / Japanese and (except cartoons) they give zero phucks about the SF genre.
People go to the movie theaters purposely to avoid real life problems like race minorities, social justice warriors, et cetera.
Then in this new Star Wars they throw a black guy at us (who comically seems to be a bad person - betrayed his people for example)
Mary Sue Rey (guys today hate their female bosses or women who think they're good at everything but we have to watch this in the movie, ROFL)
now a fat Asian female technician (Asian Bethany or Asian Kim?)
Now a pink-haired Lesbian Dyke that looks like she came from the set of Sex and the City.
SO OF COURSE THIS IS THE WORST STAR WARS MOVIE, IN TERMS OF BOX OFFICE REVENUE, TO DATE
If you want the most successful Star Wars in record then they need to hire Mel Gibson to make it, IMHO.
