I'm alone tonight. Las Vegas. Mom in San Francisco. Dad in Charlotte. Roommate just went to Charlotte this weekend. All my friends here in Vegas are w/ their families so I don't want to interrupt them.

Probably going to play poker on the strip to spend time w/ other FAs on Christmas.

You don't need an entire society to act like a hallmark movie. You just need to find enough people around you that want to have relationships/friendships beyond material/sexual needs.

This prospect may seem far fetched but it's actually very obtainable specially in large cities. Everyone is so sucked into their social media lives and busy chasing money that most do have unfulfilled needs for emotional/social interaction. If you reach out you will find people, srs.

Society is what we make it. If we don't like the way it is we have the power to change it.

If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem. The change starts with us.

Just left my parents house. Srs... there is so much that unsettles me about what they do that it is truly better simply not being around them.

- Brb ... everyone just sitting around watching some random football game small talking
- Brb ... weird pauses in conversations and then some small talk about something you've already talked about
- Brb ... them acting all sad & pulling psychological cards ("don't be a stranger...") when you decide to leave instead of just saying what they really want to say

I legit had one of my parents family friends say some chit tonight like you should talk to your mom more. Uh no... they should try talking to me more instead of avoiding real conversation.
