99% of negative feedback come from android users lol

I have a 8 plus that I love (coming from a 6 plus). The X felt a bit smaller in my hand, didn't like the feel, so I went with the 8 plus. Will be waiting at least since end of 2020 before changing again. Hopefully a larger X type phone will be there.

I like mine. Had it about 2 months now. Never have a problem with face recognition. Its fast, has a great camera, the screen is awesome for movies and videos, and i like the size. The only drawback is the price. Also i upgraded from a Iphone 6 plus.

I would have gotten the X if it was like $200 cheaper.

I got the 8, and am pleased with it. Previous phone was a 5s so it was due for an upgrade. Will keep the 8 for at least two years.

I'm not worried about security either, but its just faster. I touch the sensor and it unlocks my phone. Rather than waking the phone up and then swiping or putting a pattern in.

As someone that uses apple computers, used iPhones for years, is apple certified, and still tells all non-tech people (parents, tradie friends, etc.) to buy iphones....

... I switched to the Pixel 2 XL

Phone is amazing, android lets you do/change anything you want, camera is amazing, etc.


If you want everything to "just work" and be intuitive, then get an iPhone (maybe not an X though)

If you want freedom to changes more things and customize what's on the screen and notifications more (while less intuitive), then get an Android (Pixel 2, OnePlus, newer Samsung).
