Take your foot off the seat when the cop tells you to. Then put it back on the seat when he leaves... like any normal person would do.

Anyone who is defending the girl, or thinking the cop over reacted/wasted resources/is a ******* or whatever, guess what? None of that matters.

He asked the girl to put her feet down, she refused, end of story really. Its not fair, that a cop can just make you do something as innocuous as that, especially if the only real offense is that some people are offended by it (and its a rule of riding on the Metro of course) buts its definitely not something worth fighting the police over. There are real offenses and infringements on peoples rights that happen all the time that are worth standing up for. This wasn't it. The girl could have put her feet down, the cop would have said thank you and walked away. She could then have put her feet back on the fuking chair for all I care. The girl turned a simple interaction into something completely overblown and ended up fuking up her week and probably months to come if she pursues any legal actions.

Its simple, a cop asks you to do something that doesn't infringe on yours or someone else's rights, fuking do it. We as a society have decided to let them carry around guns, which they do, and you want to argue with one about feet on a fuking chair? Moronic to the extreme.

Officer didn't handle it well, could of explained she was breaking transit rules or something. She may have complied but probably not, she did come off as an entitled snow flake, who's not used to how the real world works. Cop with gun who could shoot you for reaching for your phone, tells you to move, you frickin move.

Fact is she was in the wrong, you can't put your feet on seats, she was the one that forced the cop to react the way he did as she wasn't being compliant. In the UK you can get a £50 fine for putting feet on seats there are signs saying so.

Well goober, the reality here is just because somebody is a special brand of stupid, spoiled, and refuses to comply... leos are not going to let them get away with it. Especially in public. It undermines them and that shows to others. You can chalk it up to a cops ego, saying he should let it go, but again the reality is people will be not take the cops seriously if they see some little sjw break the rules, and then not comply with the officer. And then for him to give in and walk away. It has an effect on police-public relations and can turn into a dangerous climate.

As far as her asking for money, getting on tv? Our culture is idiotic and will run any story surrounding police and use of force. And I'm sure his admin won't back him, but admin are just figureheads anyway catering to public opinion.
