You mean Watakans...all of whom had various motives for agreeing with him. Either personal revenge satisfation of their own, sticking the succession ritual, or thinking Watanka needed to go more intervention style with world politics.

lol nobody at the screening I went to did that, but apparently it's not uncommon. From your avi it looks like you aren't black, though, I'd say do whatever you're comfortable with. If you make it to the end of the movie and into the credits, maybe you can troll anybody rustled that they've gotta share bcs that's the movie's message. I was joking with my girlfriend about that afterwards.

Doesn't it? I'd guess if it doesn't that's because The Wire didn't have the marketing machine behind it. It's funny how Disney/Marvel, aka the movie corporate overloads, somehow successfully pushed this as a identity movie for marketing (I can see why seeing the movie, but it's still kinda odd to see them do the kinda campaigns that've been behind a bunch of "do it so we get more of these movies" under-represented things before, whether it's the malcolm x movie or just bad movies like the ghosterbusters remake.) Anyway, to your point, I would say this movie is more all black cast than the Wire though. Like the main parts in this movie that weren't played by black actors arguably all could've been played by black actors (the mercenary andy sergoat and the CIA guy). The Wire had all those people from the docks, carcetti, the prez, mcnulty, rawls, the reporter fraud, rhonda, etc.

Looking forward to seeing. Lexus showing off the LC and I really like Black Panther's design and overall as a superhero. Not a fan of Michael Jordan at all though so I hope he isnt in it much.

Politics of it just makes me lol. Whole thing seems like a giant money grab to whip up frenzy among uneducated black people dumb enough to buy into this narrative to get a ton of ticket sales....and its clearly working.

Good question. Lack of Disney influencing the media to get ticket sales?

The fight scenes sucked if you're into that and had some corny jokes. Otherwise it was amazing.

Politics of it:
The hero had a good head on his shoulders and the villain was a radical. Since everyone in the movie was black you weren't able to call the hero racist because he had different, more conservative views.

Dont assume its liberal propaganda if you didn't watch it. I went in expecting something totally different than what it was.

edit: haven't seen Winter Soldier so gonna have to take a look.
I wouldn't say Black Panther was my favorite superhero movie but it's one of them. I really liked this movie. The theater I went to was filled with mostly black people and everyone actually cheered for certain parts of the movie. I just wish the main villain's death was most satisfying.

The fight kinda left something to be desired. But the death? I thought that was handled well. I didn't expect some ROOTS type **** to creep in there.

The most thought provoking movie I've ever seen is probably The Butterfly Effect (Original ending). Yeah, country and war man. I remember that time Ashton Kutcher's character had to plot a pincer attack on an outpost.
Who here is upset?

You're the one sitting here complaining about an issue you can easily fix yourself -- instead, you sit here crying, hoping for others to change to fit what you want. I'm just pointing out the low IQ backing of your rationale.

That being said, you aren't missing anything by skipping TWD, it was only good until Season 2 or 3.

Those figures are surprising for me.

I wonder how much of that is because its Black Panther and how much of it is because its a continuation of the Marvel arc.

The movie itself was very average I thought, but I do like Boseman and Jordan. Some visuals were pretty cool others looked extremely fake.

Also for me there was nothing really on the line, no real threat, no uncertainty around the hero's fate.

If Black Panther is doing the 5th largest opening of all time Infinity War is going to smash all and every record.

Crying wasn't an insult, just an observation.

And if it was an insult, why not tell 90% of the dudes over at the R&P forum as well about this stunning revelation. But I already know what the outcome of it would be.

Trust me if I take something personally, I write a lot more than "That insult is old". Thanks for entertaining me with your responses, let's not carry it over two days. It's morning here now.

I wasn't trolling at the beginning, I'm genuinely tired of having "progressive" ideas shoved in my face all the time. That's why I love this country and moved to it. America & the UK is as much a joke to Poland as Poland is to them with all this stuff, but I digress. After some users jumped on me I started having fun with it.

Here it is fellas
Mike and Jay discuss the 18th (!) Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Black Panther. It's the first black superhero movie! It's the first comic book movie to actually feel like a comic book! It's the first critically acclaimed comic book movie! So many firsts!!!

You mean wakandans not sure what a watakan is. Wakandans are africans as well, not some alien race. Constant image of africa in the media is of the constant civil wars that happen there. Did not like the angle that the movie took where such an advanced nation like wakanda still experienced civil war.

That's because it's pretty accurate. The only difference is 99% of the people would be poor and there'd be some military dictatorship.

Actually having known some Africans, you do not want to be there unless you have a lot of money and power.

I haven't seen the movie, but trying to make comparisons to real life is a mistake, I think. As always, it's a movie.

I just watched it this weekend and it was actUally really good! I honestly thought it was gonna be overhyped but I’m so glad it delivered. The only thing that could have made it better was more fight scenes.

Can’t wait for Infinity War!
