I think you get my point
This dad did the right thing by teaching his little punk of a son that he either treats people right or he runs to school. If he HADN'T done anything, this kid would have grown up to become the school-bully, wreaking havoc on who knows how many high-schoolers who dont want to be put-down, ridiculed, & made fun of, causing all of them to have issues with depression.
Oh and what do you know, he started behaving better. what a coincidence.

This doesn't teach the kid that what he did was wrong though nor help develop empathy. All this does is demonstrate that having power = being right.

Dafuq he catching a bus for if he's only a mile away anyway. Laziness.
That being said most parents these days would probably just drive their kid or give them the day off school if they weren't allowed on the bus so good on that Dad.

Hopefully though, it will deter him from bullying people. Though it won't be due to an increase in empathy, it will be simply due to fear of public humiliation and exercise imposed by his father.

Running to school is a punishment for the soyboy generation. If I was being "punished" like that back in my day no one would even give a fukk n people would be running with me.
If I had a kid was such a beta that he'd be worried about kids laughing at him running in the rain I'd abort him at age 10 no fukks given.
Real punishment for a 10 year old is hard manual labour for a couple of weeks. Build a shed and put a patio down, das it mane.

Nothing badass about thinking running a mile isn't much punishment. Punishment in the average gym class would be worse...although maybe not in todays society as kids can't be made an example of without "muh feelings"

inb4 kid records his dad getting drunk and berating his wife and posts that chit on youtube.
