Again, as I stated to the previous person, brb travelling back in time to produce a video just for you.

350x20? I'm sure you could get 5 at 400. Even if you only get 3 or 4 full range pullups that'd be one hell of a lift and would put at least some sort of authenticity to the claim. It'd be great to see man, I'm sure you can deliver...

I literally tell my clients. It took years for you to put on that weight and it will take years to get it off. Go ahead and try some 90 day bull**** fad diet and when you gain all your weight back, don't tell me that I didn't tell you so.
I prep them for the inevitable week when they don't lose anything and then have to give the whole recomposition talk. Putting on muscle. etc.

Furthermore, their body is just doing everything wrong in a metabolic sense. The body has not learned how to properly use and burn energy, instead creates fat deposits. Plus, these people make bad lifestyle choices which trains the metabolic system to work in an inefficient way.

Big difference between that level of obesity in pic and just being fat and lazy. These people have a legit disorder/traumatized as kids where food is used as their way to cope. Feel sorry for them. Sure they potentially have the power to diet down and change, but its at a level of difficulty 90% of you will never understand. Including me.

I took pills for hypothyroidism growing up, by my late teens I had stopped taking them.
Over the next decade I ballooned up to 290lbs. Tried losing weight multiple times and would bounce up and down. Weight always seemed to come back faster than it dropped off.
I took the 'it's my thyroid' route and got tested.
Normal levels.
fuk.
This was a harder pill to swallow.
Thanks to this website and MyFitnesspal I fixed my diet. REALLY fixed it, not 'ate pretty good'. Tracked everything going in and I dropped down into the 230s in a year and a half, so 2016ish. Since then I've crept back to 265ish for a couple reasons. I seemeed to palteau around 234 and it was getting really hard to lose weight again. I had also picked up BJJ as a hobby and wasn't concentrating on weight loss anymore.
Starting round 2 of weight loss.
Already sub 250 and my cardio is monumentally better (BJJ 3-4x a week) than it was on the 290-230 trip. Goal is to crush it into the 210s/200s.
I absolutely do not buy 'unable to lose weight' its just hard, sometimes REALLY hard.

Food is one of the best pleasures on this planet. Some people just like it too much. People cope with food because of stress, boredom etc. Some are addicted. Some don't give a chit if they are fat.
Mind is blown that everyone doesn't strive to be below 15% bf. It's one of the best feelings ever and can be obtained by most in a few months. Having any kind of gut sucks and makes you feel like chit.

Because smoking's pathologies are vascular oriented, hypertension ensues which is actually the #1 silent killer. A long term chronic smoker knows he has damaged his body and likely has gone through a slew of doctors visits for copd, PVD, DVTs, incontinence, G.I. issues, eso****eal varices, etc etc etc before they drop dead of an M.I. or stroke. Years of vascular pathology leads to premature atrophy of brain tissue, leading to poor memory etc.Heart attacks and strokes brought on by, say, smoking are semi-silent killers those are easier to ignore because all the damage that is being done to them cannot be seen until they keel over from a heart attack.
With obesity, you can see that progress growing to a stationary lifestyle every step of the way like I mention in post #36.

Hypertension is the actual silent killer. Someone who is perfectly healthy but otherwise hypertensive may live an absolutely normal life and then drop dead because of vascular disease.
People who smoke tend to lead otherwise unhealthy lifestyles, very rarely do you see someone who just smokes packs a day who is otherwise completely healthy.

Other than a serious health condition that contributes to THAT level of obesity (no such condition exists) - nobody should be 400 + lbs. Unless they're 7 feet tall.
I'm appalled at how many excuses are being thrown around ITT. Ie: depression etc. Good God...
InstantLoser - okay, be very honest with your diet. Log all your food and drinks for the next week and post ITT. Let's pinpoint where the issue is.

Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.

Habits and/or mentality.
Growing addiction to food, absolutely love food, then they realize they're getting fat but then the thought of having to work it off and do all that complicating calorie **** makes them not give a fok.
It slowly adds up over time and creeps up on them and the denial begins to kick in. Hopelessness takes over and they're pretty much obese

Putting on muscle. etc.

There are legitimate medical conditions like Prader Willis syndrome. It impacts the hypothalamus which causes the individual to never feel full. In addition it slows their metabolism so they only get to eat about a 1/3 of what normal people eat before they start gaining weight. In addition people afflicted by the disease tend to have lower IQs and lack the reasoning and control skills to realize they are getting fat and know what to do to stop it.
I realize its rare but its real. Some of these people that are morbidly obese have PWS and have just never been tested...
