how do morbidly obese people...
actually get so fat? there has to be a point where a human being with a working brain would realize, "ok I can't fit in my tub or through this fukn door anymore time to lose some weight"
instead they go on tv, blame it on their eating habits, and continue to be a waste of space on our planet while creating all sorts of holes in the ozone layer from the amount of chit they produce.
someone redpill me

Absolutely no idea. If I saw myself getting fat in the mirror I'd literally stop eating. Guess it's not that easy for most people?

I was an obese person before.
It's purely laziness. That's all.

All the soda they drink can easily add up an extra 1-2k+ calories per day.

most of them have a feeling of hopelessness that they cant do anything about it, and that they're body is different and it's impossible for them to lose weight
theres a phenomenon where overweight people underestimate how much they're eating and underweight people overestimate how much they're eating
we've all heard fatties say I barely eat anything and I cant lose weight
and scrawnies go I eat 5000 calories a day and I cant gain any weight
if both parties actually tracked what they ate their lives would be a lot easier

instead they go on tv, blame it on their eating habits, and continue to be a waste of space on our planet while creating all sorts of holes in the ozone layer from the amount of chit they produce.

Their transformations are actually quite impressive. It doesn't happen overnight, yet they look like they've exploded. Very intriguing. Just goes to show if you keep at something you'll make progress.

There's a difference between medical 'morbid obesity' and the level these people get to. The dude pictured is mental illness 100%, combined with an enabler.
I was morbidly obese per BMI charts (obese class III) but I could still walk around. Down to obese class I baby. Someday I'll be just regular overweight haha.

And to OP: There are ghrelin/leptin imbalances that just get worse the bigger you get. I still can't fathom it, because even if I was hungry I still wouldn't eat if I got to that level.

It's really not that different than any other severe addiction or habit. At the core of it is a mix of coping, self-sabotage/self-harm, and hopelessness that creates a vicious circle. Reminds me of fat bastard in Austin Powers when he says something to the effect of, "I eat because I'm unhappy. And I'm unhappy because i eat."
or...
"I drink because I'm unhappy. I'm unhappy because i drink."
"I cut because I'm unhappy. I'm unhappy because i cut."
"I gamble because I'm unhappy. I'm unhappy because i gamble."
The answer for these people and millions of other addicts lies in them letting go, convincing them that they aren't hopeless, and that they do have control.

And before you automatically get pissed that I would suggest such a thing, forget about how they got there for a second and think about what you wrote.
Any rational, normal human being can see that at 400 pounds they were too fat, and at 500 pounds they were too fat. So how does an otherwise rational person like that get to 600 pounds?
Well it's obvious to me that they don't want that, so what else is there? Addiction and neurosis both play a part because you can't just explain it all away by saying they're uneducated about nutrition.

I put on 120+ in maybe a year and a half and was pushing 400, yet still thought I was 330 or so. It's hard to track your dreamer bulk when you're a fat piece of chit to begin with, rarely see yourself in pictures because you're a depressed basement dweller, and max out all the scales.
Just tell yourself, "I'll get back in the gym tomorrow," 500 days in a row and see where you end up.

I think it typically starts with something deemed tragic in their youth with a parent or family member which eventually breeds a fair dose of self-loathing. You gain 20lbs here and 15lbs there and do that over the course of 15 years and youโve put on a few hundred easily.
Once youโre so fat, working out is a mind-fuk...everything hurts and excuses set in. The cycle continues and they die young...said af.
They are mentally ill, form bad habit after bad habit and RIP.
