I think a hard part isn't the fasting itself but trying to workout after tarawih because by the time I'm done working out after tarawih suhr is about to be done than by the time that's done fajr comes then I have to get up for work in the morning. I feel a lot better/healthier mentally and spiritually though even with less sleep and food.

Allah says that you can tell if someone's fasting because their breath will smell more attractive than the finest musk, if they are fasting, and fasting for Allah.

This hot days in the shop I run where there is no AC isn’t easy. Cotton mouth towards the last 2-3 hours before Iftar.
Still sticking to Keto and feeling good.
Hope everyone is having it good so far

I don’t have the metal taste so much as the certain urine smell, but I can certainly tell my breath smells terrible very quickly. Hydrate as much as possible after Iftar. I drank nearly a gallon and Iftar was like 2 and half hours ago

Over the weekend, I did a lot of self reflection. It's amazing that I still exist having been through all the stuff I have in my life. I can say with absolute certainty that I would not have made it had there been no Superpower watching over me. Everything I have, everything I am, is by His power. As I was driving into the gym this morning, the sun just coming up, but the moon still fully visible and full - I'm in awe of everything that exists and was created by Him. The good, bad, and the mundane. The cycles in nature - blooming of flowers. The rising of the sun and falling of the night - all things in flow and in motion. A divine clockwork so masterfully conducted and maintained that sometimes we forget how smoothly everything functions. Yet here we are - some of us - complaining of long fasts, bad breath and losing gains. Can you imagine what would happen if God started moaning and whining about having to do the things that happen today like clockwork? Just crazy.
Have a good week homies.
Ps: here's another of my favs. Post yours please:

It's getting very warm here, making water the hot commodity at Iftar.
Had people over for Iftar last night, sorry I was running around getting food on the table so didnt snap any pics for you all. But here was the menu:
Shredded chicken Burek, mixed fruit salad, mini beef samosas, must-o'-khiar and spicey mint chutney for iftar.
Dinner was bbq kebabs, tandoori style bbq chicken legs, hot links, creamed potatoes, gravy, goat palau, and salad.
Food was amazing.

I fasted for the first time couple days ago, and went to Tarawi for the first time yesterday. Feels weird, like I don't belong but also doesn't feel bad. Keep it up brahs and brahettes!

Yes, everything made from scratch. I don't eat much processed/packaged food.
Going to make Chinese tonight.
Good job, make some friends and make it a point on hanging with them. Knowledgeable dudes who can answer your faith related questions. Keep it up!

Coming down to the finish line guys.
Anyone doing the sit-in at the mosque for the last 10 days? My uncle does it every year, I'm going to try it out next year if nothing else in my life changes. I'll take the entire 10 days off from work and take part in it. Need to experience it at least once.

Our region is doing a combined prayer this year with all the local mosques congregating together at a large sports arena/complex. It's going to be pretty awesome. They're going to do Eid prayer in the morning, have halal food trucks, jump houses, face painting, vendor stalls etc. afterwards for people to hang out. Then they'll pray Jummah and then break.
I'll be dishing out close to 400 large in Eidi to my nieces and nephews.
Still haven't figured out what I want to get my husband for Eid. He's got too many colognes and I got him a watch on Valentine's day. Any ideas?
