Ego loss is described as peace of mind and clarity, so materialism, money, and competition is not important. Eating is a necessity, nothing to do with ego. Western society promotes the ego because it pushes materialism, competition, and money as importance. Western society has constructed itself where the ego is necessary in order to survive.
Look up ruthlesstruth or liberationunleashed. Theres like a cult that tries to bring it to people

Ego is "i". Thus it is everything.

And psychologically the ego represents your body. So, yes, i believe when you eat you HAVE to bring "i" into consideration. you can pretty much forego "i" forever..until you have to eat

Anyways, i definitely experienced it. Wasnt depression either. Literally had a psychiatrist tell me so because after a while i was so distraught i had to. He was like "youre not depressed" - this dude was actually a meditation teacher too HA. He didnt like me bringing up the chit i was talking about

I studied psychology heavily when i was younger, and my college bachelors pursuit was neuroscience. However, i figured out i didnt want it and stopped it. But i still know A LOT about it. So for me to go to a psychiatrist was huge. And i denied it until it got bad

And i denied the medication when they gave it to me
And they pretty much didnt do chit

It was all me who recovered

You should read "The Power of Now", the author gives a good insight on what the ego actually is. Ego is a person's sense of self-importance and personal identity. Eating does not affect that, it just keeps you alive. Ego is a want, not a need.

And I don't know this psychology teacher you're talking about who is apparently qualified in diagnosing someone as ego less since that is literally impossible. No one just experiences ego death randomly while sober. It takes practice in meditation/Buddhism or with drugs. Ego less is not about "not caring", it's peace of mind which is why Buddhist monks can just sit down all day and "stare at walls" as you say.

Short story: Lonely and unsure of themselves

Long story: I think a lot of the misc is not the best socially leading to FA or socially inept types who use lifting because they think it will help get women or somehow transform their life. Except, I think, it usually doesn't making them bitter and insecure. More to being secure with yourself than just lifting and some seem like they have just given up.

I know of it. Did you also know there are a large portion of people that experience derealization as a result of "the power of now"? Srs. Go type in "eckhart tolle derealization" into google

Also, eckhart tolle himself said something like he didnt function properly after experiencing something i can only liken to ego death..for years

The guy didnt label me "egoless" he just said i wasnt depressed when trying to ascertain what was going. As though he was questioning why i was there. I use it as an example because he knew what i was talking about regarding eastern philosophy

I definitely did experience it sober.

Go look up ego death from all of the people that experienced it intoxicated ( A LOT OF THEM SAY IT WAS BAD AND THE MOST TERRIFYING THING THEYVE DONE)

if you take a step and remove your feel good blinders (eastern philosophy saying its the shiznit) pretty much all of what i said is true

Ego = sense of self
Egolessness = no sense of self

In a very simple example. Ego would be taking care of yourself
Egolessness would be not taking caring of yourself as that would require some sense of self

So, if you take care of yourself and believe in no ego i believe youre a hypocrite as that requires some sense of self and recognition/ identity as to whats going on.

This might be why the "middle way" in buddhism is the most sought after state BUT as i said i still believe its hypocritical objectively

Also, i didnt have anxiety while i experienced it. You seemed to insinuate that before. It was digusting in that way. Anxiety has a specific function as a warning system. Its what teaches you not to touch that poisonous snake. With no ego you have no warning system so reach out to touch that poisonous snake

Also: go ahead and try to move without taking into consideration "i". The ego and body euphemistically represent the same thing

I just think most miscers are clowning and chit, at least I am. Everyone got issues, and get annoyed by stupid chit, but we make fun of them, and sometimes rant and chit, I don't think anybody on here is actually THAT pissed off and insecure about it, or at least not most of us.
