Shawn came in so balanced and proportioned I don't think anyone aside from Phil's friends/family are upset with this one. Perhaps Mr O is taking a turn back towards aesthetics as opposed to mass monsters.

Phil looked destroyed by the decision. Rhoden 100% deserved this win. Amazing someone at 270 pounds can look that well balanced and aesthetic

I am also not bothered, at all, by Buendia not winning Physique.

Men's physique is such a better representation for the sport.
Swear to god - modern bodybuilding has such a small following.
Biggest problem is Phil Heath is considered aesthetic - he is literally the definition of unbalanced.

And about Heath and aesthetics...well, this has changed over time, and I'm still a 'proportion' guy over 'size', hence why I've never been on the Ramy train.

I genuinely think supp companies are starting to see the light - Phil is the last of the mass monsters to be given a center stage - its not just social media, bodybuilding has had plenty of different stars in the past, big, small and aesthetic - the problem is to win the open category, big is criteria to win.
the 202 category is better than the open.
Say what you want - bodybuilding has been dying for years, the fact the olympia makes more money is a by-product from the general expansion in the supplement market - zyzz would have a bigger following than Heath if he was alive.

'Supplementing' the way these guys do for well over a decade doesn't often lead to a long life.

I disagree with you about it having a small following. Maybe if you compare it to football or something like that. But there are a fukk-load of fans around the globe that follow modern BBing. Its bigger then its ever been and IMO its only going to continue to get larger.

Its a new era assuming Shawn can retain for a couple more years.anything larger than men's physique looks horrible
