The ironic thing about poverty in US is that people who are poor tend to be overweight/obese. You don't find that relationship anywhere else in the world ( at least not in other countries where poverty is rampant).

You are not actively doing every single task at the same time. You are not producing your own electricity. Someone else is producing that "local" electricity. And you are trading with them. That is the point.
Are you tallying your trade deficit with Ford? With McDonalds?
Should every single state produce everything themselves? Should the supply chain for every single corporation be limited to the town they are headquartered in ? Should they be only be allowed to operate and sell to customers in their own state? or is their county? Or city?
> Trade Between States
> Nobody poor in YOUR state

> Trade Between Cities

- apparently the "scale" only applies to the arbitrary borders and happenstance of territory that happens to be "your country"
Riddle me This. Is Trade a zero sum game?

Riddle me This. Is Trade a zero sum game?
The fact of the matter is that you clearly did not nor do you understand the role scale plays in economics. You think the national level of regulation is the same as all others.
Have fun being that retarded in life. Just know that you'd find sustaining yourself in any economic system challenging.

Quite a few of them have now made it into medical or pharmacy schools and are crushing it. The best part is they LOVE America and constantly talk about how grateful and lucky they are to be where they are.Bingo. I was talking with my 29 year old Uber driver who came here from India 8 years ago. Learned English, became a citizen, stated school for computer science and drives Uber during his free time to pay his bills.
He talked about how much he loves America and the opportunity it provides him with school and work.
Meanwhile there are people that have lived here their entire lives that will be on welfare until they die. Pathetic losers.

Then you've got people like the one in the OP...

All forms of contraception should be 100% state funded and available to any and all.
Then these people wouldn't breed and expect help (or at least it could be cut down).

In most cases they show no sign of changing their behaviors and would be a bad investment.
Many people are in a bad situation because they made bad choices. Can you say that they are completely responsible for those bad choices and that they weren't at least influenced by their upbringing, physical condition, or mental issues?
And some people were trying to do everything right; or at least as right as they were capable of. People still get wiped out by major medical problems, being divorced/widowed, loss of a business or job. Stuff happens.
The lady in the article definitely brought a lot of her difficulties on herself. But her children are affected too. And if she didn't have children and was working full time are we going to pretend that $1600 a month is making it?
I don't think that you can fix a problem by just throwing money at it. Doesn't mean that there isn't a problem or that the wage scale isn't out of whack.
