For his era DMX was HUGE, I know because that was when I was about at the height of my rap fandom.

Drake is a GREAT musician, I'm not gonna speculate what he does or doesn't write, dude is killing it on so many different fronts, the guy always has like 1-2 songs in high rotation.

I will say I've listened to the rest of your list and not overly impressed with Kendrick Lamar, always thought Wayne was a corny kinda "party rapper" (like a Kanye West), the rest of who you listed I've never seriously seen "rated".

His Revival album was bad..i only sampled a few songs and couldnt even listen to the entire album.
