I've got a 6.4 liter SRT with quite possible the best sounding exhaust note out there. And the last thing I want to do is throw a catback exhaust on it. I grew out of that annoying drone stage years ago.

Agreed.

I have a few friends from Germany. They would always ask why Americans buy 300hp+ cars when we have such idiotically low speed limits. I went to visit and drove the autobahn and i had a blast in a 140hp car (fastest thing Avis had).

I’ve had plenty of fast vehicles and all they do is piss me off because I can’t even begin to use them before risking a ticket. Current ride averages 33mpg in mostly city driving and has never been too slow. Much happier driving it than some 4.6 0-60 car that is pointless in the “land of the free and the home of the brave.”

Who told you that?? That car is somewhere in the 14.6 - 1/4 mile range and hardly fast. My 7000 lbs X5M is nearly 2 seconds faster. The new M5 is by far one of the fastest sedans with 0-60 2.8 sec and 1/4 mile in 10.9 sec.

I'm a car guy but not a big fan of loud cars anymore. When I was in my early 20's the louder the better, now that I have a car that makes plenty of HP I try to keep it quiet.

Why the blunt hostility?

Research actually claims men with fast cars have high test. I can post links if you want.
why not get a sick motorbike tho, gives you way more freedom and more speed

no aftermarket parts after highschool, unless you're some tradie building a racecar in your garage as a hobby so you can hide from your wife while she watches "her shows."

I don't get this either being a car guy! It's the journey, not the destination! I own at least two vehicles that are never pulled out with a destination in mind.....just some curvy roads.
