7 deadly and my hero are straight 10/10. Attack on titan season 1 was perfect, but haven't been as thrilled with season 2 and 3.
Watch hunter x Hunter (2011)

Starts off a little slow, but just trust me on this.

Almost repped you for Ah! My Goddess though. You're dumb for suggesting that touchy feely weeb show though (I like it)
Cmon man lol, I got a huge list of anime over the last 30 years that I've watched/still watch. Didn't want to add everything. Actually just watched Gurren Lagann a while back on Netflix.

Still have Ah! My Goddess on VHS

Edit - What about Samuri Champloo, Elfen Lied, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Lupin III, Ranma 1/2, Ulysses 31, Machine Robo, Knights of the Zodiac, Fist of the North Star, Grave of the Fireflies, Nausicaa, etc.

Yeah, tried it once and I couldn't make it the first 5-6 episodes. Seemed like too much of a kid's show. When does it get good?

Near the end of their first training arc in the tower imo. Minor spoilers

At that point I thought, "Ok, we might be onto something here"

From then on, it just keeps getting better. The first few episodes almost turned me off, but I pushed through because the entire internet raved about it. It is worth it.

I only like anime from the 80's or 90's because it is all hand drawn which gives it that classic nostalgic look to it. Most anime I find to be pretty terrible, but there are some gems that are truly great shows with great storytelling and character development

I would recommend people to watch Slam Dunk, it was made in 1993

- great character development
- great comic relief
- great storytelling
- so many hype moments in the games

It's about the red haired Sakuragi Hanamichi and the Shohoku basketball team. Sakuragi is a highschool delinquent part of a small gang and he is known for getting in to lots of fights. He is also known because of the fact he was rejected by 50 girls before highschool. He hates basketball because his latest girl rejected him for a basketball player. But he meets a girl in highschool who loves basketball, and her brother is the captain of the Shohoku highschool team. He joins the team for the sole purpose of impressing this girl, but ends up loving basketball once he makes a good play and hears the crowd chant his name. Sakuragi is pretty crappy at basketball early on, but is an insanely gifted athlete who often pulls stuff off that people can't believe.

What is great about Slam Dunk is that it is unlike any other sports show I have seen. usually a sports show is about the gang of rejects who come together in order to win the tournament or the "super team". or about 1 star player who carries a team to victory.

But in Slam Dunk all 5 starting players on the Shohoku team are fking amazing, but not perfect. It really makes the competition they face feel very competitive and high level. It is very cool

recently came across this video which shows lots of clips from the Hisashi Mitsui arc, which I thought was the best arc of the show. was amazing brahs

I watched it. the fights and the training are really good. but the inbetween episodes are not that great imo. and Ippo acts like a little pussy bich the entire series even after he becomes one of the best fighters in Japan

the flashback fight between Ippo's trainer Kamogawa and anderson is so sick

lol so 4 pages in nobody gave a fuking review on the OP?

is it good or what I don't watch anime and sh!t is 75 episodes
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Monster will always be in my top 5 favorite animes. It's definitely worth the watch. However, some people say it starts slow. But if you actually commit yourself to watching the whole series you will not regret it. But it takes over 10 episodes to really get rolling. And the second half of the series is where it really takes off. Monster is on another level when compared death note to me.

Haven't watched it in years will have to give it a rewatch soon.

Johan is the antagonist of the story, he's the boy who was shot in the head and saved by the protagonist Dr. Tenma. He's the creepiest, most manipulative, and smart villian I've ever watched. I agree with the OP and I compare the feel of the show to something like true detective.

I haven't really seen much anime past the year 2000. I like Akira, Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Shell, Monster City. More recently I watched the first few of the 'Hellsing' episodes, which are awesome.

Overall, not really my cup of tea.
