To people who have never watched Anime or think Anime is trash

Let me aware you on the most alpha, high test Anime out there (one of them at least): Monster

If you think that most Anime are degenerate, you're right. But there are exceptions and this is one of them.

Premise:
- Japanese Neurosurgeon works in a hospital in Düsseldorf, Germany
- is faced with the decision of whether to operate on a young boy or the town's mayor
- his morals tell him to operate on the young boy while his superiors pressure him to operate on the mayor
- he operates on the boy, saves his life and the mayor dies
- years laters, a series of unsolved murders occurs and it all seems to be linked to the boy whose life he saved years ago

-if you like deep, dialogue-based crime dramas (something like True Detective), you should definitely fukin watch this series

Agree the show is intense

However, you're not going to convince people otherwise who think all anime is hentai, pokemon and dragon ball Z though.

GF started getting me into Anime/Manga and I am presently surprised with the quality and the show. Lots of self-actualization of characters and great mentors, feels like I am watching Ashe Catch them all again with this new found excitement

Just finished attack of the Titans
now working on Seven Deadly Sins (not as good yet)
and One Punch man which is hilarious

I know nothing factual but only tell the truth

Anime is like super hero movies. I never set out to watch them, but when a friend has a good one on I will. When I find myself entertained it's genuinely surprising, but I'll be glad I watched. This plot sounds pretty interesting.

attack on titan is chit imo, the story is generic and the characters are annoying and cliche. it has a good soundtrack and fight scenes tho.

would definitely recommend death note (37 episodes), if you haven't watched that yet.

haha yeah I member, kinda creeped me out as well with that soundtrack in the background. the whole show has a very gloomy feel to it.

Erased is nice, love the ending theme. Steins;Gate is really good as well but the first ~15 episodes is all build up.

oh neat. The cliche response of dismissing a show just because its animated. The series the OP is referring to has better story telling than pretty much anything "live action" on TV right now.
