I would care more about the early death of a relative of an acquaintance, not because of the complete stranger who has died, but because of my acquaintance's feelings for that person. Other early deaths that get to me are of people that were similar to me (or people close to me), or people that had particularly compelling personal stories, or had some special gift or skill.

I think you are missing the point a bit re:reproduction being the main goal in life. Yeah, I get the genetic legacy thing, but so what? I could get it if we were talking about someone that loves children and gets a lot of satisfaction out of being a parent. But that doesn't sound like where you are at.

My point is that self awareness is not necessary for life. It is one of many adaptations we have that helps us achieve our goal of surviving to replicate and ensure the replication of our offspring. Our intelligence may eventually turn out to be a maladaptive trait. We may cause our own extinction eventually. When you strip all of the song and dance away, we are just apes bro. You've been lied to if you think the purpose of your life is to help other people, etc. The purpose of your life is to spawn babies and make sure they spawn babies. That's all that nature will ever care about. Look at Genghis Khan. Does anyone care that he was a violent rapist and murderer? Nope. All that mattered and is remembered is that about 1/200 living men is descended from him or his close relatives. On the other hand, Isaac Newton never had kids. Newton's legacy may live on for a while, but in a few thousand years, if mankind still exists, he will be long forgotten. What will remain is the y chromosome of a man who had many more babies than the others.

I would. Guess what? They require 6 ft+ and many have salary requirements. Not even joking. Most have your picture on file too. Women choose donors based on their appearance, height, medical background, salary, etc. It's just as selective as real life. If you aren't desirable as a man, you won't be wanted as a donor. I have looked into it.

Whilst reproduction is of course ESSENTIAL to the survival of the human species, it isn't the be all and end all. A human who doesn't pass on his genes can still contribute greatly to the species. Think of Nikola Tesla and Isaac Newton; died virgins and childless yet will always be remembered and revered in the world of science. I think its clear that such people contributed more to the human species than some trailer trash skank with 8 bastard children, who will in turn grow up to become criminals. Just because someone has produced children it doesn't mean that their existence is fulfilled. I don't see how the death of a 41 year-old man to cancer is no big deal and not worthy of atleast a little condolence. My parents are just entering their 70s. Sure, they have grandchildren and have seen their children go their own way, but the journey hasn't ended yet. Its always too soon when a loved one dies, regardless of how old they were or what they managed to accomplish in life. I hate to say this Wincel, but you seem to speak about human's like they are some kind of machines made for one purpose, and once they have "served their purpose" their lives are somehow obselete.

Ok, but instead of making posts as quoted in the OP of this thread, where you will only be faced with hatred and being called a loser, try to improve your situation in your time instead of making thousands of posts.

And it is maladaptive to save lives without passing on your own genes. In the long run, who wins? Oops. Now, evaluate who had the better life strategy.

I'll remind you of an interesting statistic. Do you know how many lives have ever been saved? The answer is zero. Everyone dies.

Making babies. If they are making more babies, then yes, they are completely winning at life in the biological sense (which is the only one that really matters). You are cucking yourself raising and helping their kids at your own expense.
Your nihilistic mechanistic outlook is weirdly at odds with your obsession of looking at future generations. If you do not care about doing the right thing, about doing what is fun or about doing what people deem right, you should see there is really no reason either to do what you think nature deems right.

Just because nature (according to your very specific definition of biology) made humans to pass on their genetics, does not mean you have to give a damn about that. Especially if you believe, you are just a bunch of cells predetermined by your genetic code, you could care less if Newton's or Genghis Khan's legacy lives longer. (Also considering how few of Khan's genes will be in his descendants nowadays, Newton has already won that race IMO.)
You are dead, done for, finito, your genes being in some child will not help you at all with that.

Just because you believe it to be in your nature to pass on your genetic code, does not mean you are oblidged to do so.

Contributing to the species is irrelevant. Newton should never have shared his work with us. He cucked himself. He helped Chad's kids build a glorious future for themselves while his own genes faded away. Life isn't about contributing to the species. It's about the replication and survival of individuals. We are machines. We are biological machines. We think with our brains that function in specific ways due to their architecture. Everything we are is just a physical system. When our purpose is fulfilled, we become obsolete. Life is cruel like that.

Some of them are as young as 2 years old. 2 fuking years. While Chad was off partying and drowning in vagene, this poor child never got the chance to play ball, or swim in a pool, or do anything we all take for granted every day. Fuk off. No tears for Chad. He had a good life.

I am not a sociopath. If I were, I'd be virtue signaling like the rest of you.

At what point has a person lived "long enough"? What is the metric by which you judge a life as complete? Because I judge it the same way nature does: Did the person reproduce and will his kids survive to reproductive age? If so, he succeeded. If you love your life, it makes sense that you would want to live as long as possible, but really, we evolved death. We don't normally die of trauma. We are not biologically immortal. We age and die in a relatively controlled manner. We evolved the lifespan we have. It is detrimental for you to live a whole lot longer. You wouldn't want to compete with your own offspring for mates and resources would you? There are trees that clonally reproduce and have existed for 80,000 years.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pando_(tree)

We, obviously, have a different life strategy. I will also remind you that this tree, a highly successful lifeform, doesn't have sex, doesn't feel, doesn't give a crap about empathy or any of the other human constructs we think matter to life. All it does is grow and replicate. Just like every other life form on the planet. One day, you will all realize that was the whole point of life. Everything else was just a mechanism to do that.
You are such a sad case, Wincel. I have never witnessed this type of delusion, weak rationalization, or oversimplification of scientific concepts before. If you really believe that replication is the sole purpose of life, then why don't you just get a mail order bride, or a hooker, or find a destitute chick in poverty, and impregnate them? Set aside a trust fund for the kid, or take it into custody after birth?

The reason is because you want the validation and happiness that comes with a relationship, you know for a fact that you can't escape the "meaningless" feels or emotions which you're so quick to dismiss. This is why you're sad--you don't even believe your own spiel. Your retreat into mechanistic science is pure cope to deal with your inability to forge meaningful relationships.

I am literally actively pursuing a relationship with a destitute chick in poverty...srs. And ofc I feel. Ofc I want to feel the warmth and fuzziness that comes from being loved. But it's not necessary. All that matters to me is that I pass on my genes. Everything else is a mechanism for that.

This. When you stop having sex for long periods of time your body and mind just start to deteriorate because you aren't fulfilling your biological needs. Depression, anxiety, bitterness, desperation and other mental illnesses start to set in.

You can choose not to, but then you are losing the natural game we are all playing.
They all share the same Y-chromosome, but even than it would just be a small part of him.
But even the original study where that fact comes from considers it mathematically unlikely that all of these guys descended from Genghis Khan. The time period fits and many guys have a similar genetic make up, but the Genghis Khan part is just a theory.
Could have lots of other reasons. Maybe his people were inbred already.

And no we are not all playing that game. Most people don't care about leaving as many kids as possible. And even if we would, your conclusion would still be illogical. You cannot find the meaning of life in a purely materialistic world. Even if you considered your vague interpretation of biology a true law of nature, that still would not make it amoral law to be followed.

The Khan thing is likely true, but it may also be the result of inbreeding. That is correct. My point still stands biologically. We define fitness of an individual by the number of fertile offspring it spawns. I don't think there is any basis for morality in nature beyond what encourages cooperative behavior where it, on average, benefits the individuals in the group.

Your mechanistic worldview was debunked by Einstein's theories. But aside from that, the argument you're espousing isn't even valid from an evolutionary standpoint. Homo-sapiens and other primates evolved in cooperative groups as social animals, thus the image of some Robinson Crusoe figure roaming the plains competing with other isolated, atomistic individuals is a pure myth. In fact, some biologists theorize that in the absence of cooperation consciousness and language would have never developed. In other words, people as individuals simply can't be abstracted from communities and the whole species like you're attempting to do, at least not from an evolutionary standpoint.

Again, this is all cope. You wouldn't have this worldview if you weren't an isolated, miserable human being.

IMO... Take the 'red pill/MGTOW' philosophy, and strip it down to it's bare roots, and you have Wincel's outlook.

A lotof guys on the misc (and the 'red pill' crowd on the internet) justify their value and ethics solely by using Evolutionary psychology (it's simply biology that X should behave this way), which is one step away from biological reductionism and Wincel's worldview.

It doesn't surprise me that pure materialism (mixed with Western individualism) is in growing popularity (ie. the notion that life is only about sex, reproduction, social status, and acquiring resources).
