These are the only movies I've seen at the cinema in the past 6 years
Hobbit trilogy (3)
300 Rise of an Empire
Mad Max: Fury Road
IT
works out at one per year. There is very rarely a movie I wish to pay good money toward seeing at the cinema.
I enjoy the old school action movies which went hard. Primarily 80s and 90s; Predator, Conan the B, Cobra, Robocop, Marked for Death, Rambo, Die Hard, The Terminator and T2, The Rock, Universal Soldier, Hard Target, Leon, Desperado, From Dusk Til Dawn, Hard Boiled, Blade.
However action movies tend to be too superhero based and removed from everyday humans.
I tend to just check TV shows like TWD, GOT, Band of Brahs, Banshee, Boardwalk Empire, SWAT, The Strain

(That's a reason why I think Thanos is one of the best movie of all time, even though what he wants is morally reprehensible, he genuine believes what he is doing is for the greater good - and the writers don't try to make us think that he isn't sincere.)
The creators did a good job of 'humanising' the villains. The characterisations of Dracula and Issac are particularly excellent. There's a scene towards the end where Dracula does something to Isaac that really brings the feelz.

Yeah, but it's mostly because movies are getting ****tier and ****tier.
There's a maximum of like 3 good movies coming out nowadays (not counting foreign films). The quality is just shocking and it seems to get even worse every year.
I saw The Predator the other day and it was abysmal, just when you thought the bottom had been reached they manage to make an even worse film. Another big movie that came out this year Sicario 2 was a steamy mess as well, the first film was very well done with Denis Villeneuve directing but the second one was all over the place, it's as if there's no more quality control on films coming out nowadays. They probably figure that the masses will watch them anyway, The Predator is the most shocking example of this to date probably.
edit: I saw First Man last week at the theatre and that gave me a sparkle of hope, solid AF movie that was. So there is still some talent out there, just getting less and less of a platform.

Watched Venom at home last night and was a bit sad. It was an entertaining movie. It would have been worth an 8 dollar matinee. I've just been so turned off by lame superhero movies like black panther, wonder woman, antman, DCU, that I never gave it a chance.
It was a breath of fresh air. Kinda funny lots of action. Loved the motorcycle chase and the venom suits looked bad ass. Especially the big tit big ass super small waist lady venom. Wood bang. Movie kept a good pace and didn't take itself too seriously.

I hate movies nowadays with a passion. Seems like movie makers have gone too greedy by including everyone, gays, ethnic minorities (yes, I'm one lol), women etc. Seems too try hard.
The recent movie I watched is about a spec. op unit (kinda like Navy SEAL) which has 3 women in the unit (out of 6). Made me rage so hard.

I couldn't believe that movie myself. One of the women is in the most elite of elite squads and has kids at home. Just completely unrealistic

Just saw Creed II in the theater. It was really good IMO and you know Stallone doesn't submit to Hollywood cuckoldry. Plenty of "toxic masculinity" and test-filled scenes.

Doesn’t watch new movies crew.
The same tribe that owns other forms of media has completely abandoned any earlier pretenses that they are doing anything other than trying to program you to believe in their agenda.
Watch old movies and read good books crew.

I’ve seen more than usual.
Last two (creed 2 and first man) were amazing.
When you are working 60 + hours a week, 2 hours to relax and escape in a movie is really enjoyable.
Don’t care about perceived politics.

Yes, same tribe but they produced better work back in the day. Far less overtly SJW/socialist/etc.

Hollywood is complete trash. Nothing original, nothing clever, nothing well executed. All CGI explosions + capitalizing on the nostalgia of Millenials and Gen X by revitalizing things like Star Wars in a low IQ, Lefty propaganda way

Are you aware of Department of Defence subsidies for Hollywood films, and involvement in filmmaking?
Literally, if producers are willing to submit their scriptfor approvalto the Department of Defence, they will get tax payer money given to them to help pay for the cost of production. The reason being, they know that Hollywood films help recruitment.
