I imagine there's life elsewhere in the universe. The vastness (and mostly emptiness) of the universe, however, makes me think we'll never meet them.

Because if even one advanced space faring civilization existed in this galaxy they would have sent self replicating probes out to every star system by now, even at sub-luminal speeds.

Unless we are the most advanced civilization, which seems improbable.

prolly something out there like life. Might only be us spacefaring though. Not just the huge anomaly of creating life, but it evolving and advancing to intelligence, and being in a part of a star system that has resources and gravitation and radiation that allows space exploration to be a possibility... I mean I know space is far more infinite that comprehension, but what we got here is also winning the lottery. To have a universe or galaxy spanning space civilization that still exists would be like winning the lottery 100x over

Lol lists and lists of pointless (supposed) happenings in the ancient Middle East, and literally not one word on say.....there are trillions of other galaxies in the universe, probably harboring billions or trillions of other intelligent life forms, or even basic science like the earth revolves around the sun, or basic medical facts that would go a long way towards actually transforming the way people live. Its almost as if these were just ancient documents written by primitive ancient people with little to no understanding of science, that not surprisingly, contain pointless ancient histories and various rules/customs/beliefs.

This is indeed something close to the truth.

To understand, you need to follow our own exploration of space. Do we send men put first? No. We observe first; then study; then send outunmannedprobes. Then - and only then - do we even begin to consider sending out manned craft only if it is feasible and manageable.

General fiction and Hollywood brings out crap which falsely leads the unintelligent and uninformed to believe that advanced sentient life, if it did exist, would physically come to Earth in bright lights and glory or some other stupid scenario.

In reality, Human's first contact with aliens, if it should ever occur whilst we are safely on Earth, will either be encountering a signal sent from deep space and/OR in the form of nonbiological messengers - whether that is, robots, unmanned probes etc etc.
