I watch Superhero movies with pride.

It’s not my thing, I enjoy them for what they are. Entertaining films. Cookie cutter, you know what you’ll get, but entertaining none the less. We live in a world that can be pretty cruel at times, a society where you turn on the news and 75% of the stories are negative and fear mongering. There is something magical about being able to find an escape for two hours. The world is shut off.

More than the movies, I like the reaction. You see these videos of these actors stopping by these hospitals to visit these kids who have been dealt hands that most of us haven’t. You see them light up. There is beauty in that. In regards to grown men, it gives them an opportunity to tap into that childhood. Maybe they grew up with the comics and the films weren’t as advanced when they were a child.

Everyone wants to feel good and it’s hard to walk away from those films with a negative feeling. These movies began in what, 08? That’s 11 years of commitment, investment of these characters. It’s natural for people to be emotional over its ending.

Some people bookmark their lives with music, with sports, or any other hobby. Others choose to escape with superheroes. Age is irrelevant.

LOL I got pissed at a student who saw the Thursday/ Fri Midnight showing and then went to school telling several student. 10/10 Dick move.

OP any adult that geeks out / dresses up, etc. for any movie ( star wars, avengers, etc) has their priorities messed up. But Marvel was a kids dream, and now it's a 100 + million $$ budget movies coming out a few times a year. worth watching indeed.

I grew up watching these heroes on the TV and reading their comics. It's nice that they are making quality live-action films about them that are tailored for both children and adults alike.

I am not a fan of them, don't judge people who are.

Only issue I have is how many of them there are, and all the money seems to go into superhero movies, or movies aimed at kids.

I guess movies like pulp fiction, don't sell as much merchandise.
