Those are initial results for some people. It's actually a recognized issue - when the transplanted hair first starts to grow, it has to push a pathway out of the scalp, sometimes resulting in "crinkly" hair. Over time the hair pathway smoothes out, but it can take awhile.

But why do they look like head hairs and not back/leg hairs? Do they need chemically straightened and dyed all the time?

Makes me thankful I can't grow a beard at 30, it means I won't be going bald any time soon.

Congrats, OP. I wouldn't know that feel. 36 years old with NW 0.5. Wife says my hair is easily 10/10 and would leave me if I ever went bald lol.

Agree 100%. I didn’t start fin right when I noticed it, but definitely before it got too noticeable. I’m 34 years old, and I had a 32 year old girl I was talking to last night guess I was 25. One of the best decisions of my life.

I'd rather be a bald guy with a strong jaw and amazing facial features than an average looking guy with a full head of hair

I previously had a thread on here when I'd had three done. Figure now that my latest results are in from my most recent HT, I'd post an update.
The big limitation of a hair transplant is that there's only so much that a doctor and staff can do in a single day. At most you can only have 3 people implanting follicles from the donor area to the recipient area at a time (one on each side plus one in the center). I had a lot of ground to cover so generally could only get between 2k to 4k follicles moved per surgery.

Back in Nov 2018 I had my most recent surgery - this one was only about 2000 FUE to fill in some bare spots, give better temple points and lower the hairline slightly. You can see the strip scar from when I had FUT's done. My previous FUE implanted a few follicles into some wide sections of the scar, so now its completely masked when my hair grows out.




It takes a period of 5 to 7 months to get a real idea of how the results turn out, with full results taking approximately 12 months.
