I'm curious what it is that gives some transplants the texture of pubes, OP looks like real hair while some dudes look like they've got a brillo pad on their head. Is it the surgeons skill or genetics?

Those are initial results for some people. It's actually a recognized issue - when the transplanted hair first starts to grow, it has to push a pathway out of the scalp, sometimes resulting in "crinkly" hair. Over time the hair pathway smoothes out, but it can take awhile.

But why do they look like head hairs and not back/leg hairs? Do they need chemically straightened and dyed all the time?

Makes me thankful I can't grow a beard at 30, it means I won't be going bald any time soon.

? Not sure what you're asking, brah.

Hair transplants generally involve taking hair from the sides & back of the head and placing them at the top.

Some doctors do actually implant leg hairs to the hairline, as it mimics "baby hairs" - super thin hair up front.

Likewise, it's become more common to take neck hair (under the chin beard hair) and using that to fill in the bald spot/crown area at the top of the head too.

Yup, I screwed up by not hopping on FIN sooner. My hairloss was gradual, bro. I started losing my hair at 16 or 17, to the point where I was buying rogaine while in high school.

So its probably the same way people get fat. You don't notice a few extra pounds over the course of a few months, but the pounds keep gaining and gaining. Likewise, you don't notice a few hairs falling out here and there.

People with extensive hair transplants always have to keep the old guy cut. They can't shave it down or the scars, spotty areas become visible.

Yeah I don't blame you, most guys don't catch it.

Most guys gradually start losing hair in early to mid 20s and dont even know it until they are in their 30s. Then they tell their friends that started losing hair at 33 when in reality it started at 21 at a slow rate.

It’s crazy - my dad and older brother still have full heads of hair (although my brother is losing it at the temples).

For you young miscers out there, best hop on fin at the first sign of hair loss.

My older brother and father both bald af. Was lurking the misc for years before i went bald (knowing i would). Saw everyone freak out bout potential side effects. Kept telling myself: Maybe it will skip a generation, maybe i won't lose my hair until i'm 40.
Hair loss kicked in at an exponential rate at age 27, fell into a depression. Didn't decide to use fin until a month ago when i got really desperate.
No sides whatsoever. But can't tell whether it's stopping the hair loss or if it will help me regrow some since it takes 3-6 months.
Wish i just hopped on earlier.

So i 100% agree with this statement. How much are you using? I'm on 1mg a day but you said yours is extremely low so maybe even less?

Agree 100%. I didn’t start fin right when I noticed it, but definitely before it got too noticeable. I’m 34 years old, and I had a 32 year old girl I was talking to last night guess I was 25. One of the best decisions of my life.

My dad - slick bald at 23

I still have a full head of hair got on fin when my hair started shedding like crazy right before my 22nd birthday. Plan on staying on fin and fighting hairloss till i die srs (or get happily married)
