Before I learned proper swimming I was always able to stay afloat with the doggy paddle style. But obviously I couldn't save anyone with that method and even with proper swimming training there is some special skills you need to save someone drowning otherwise you just drown with them.
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

I tried proper lessons, they didn't work for ****, focused too much on minor details, went to Australia and had locals teach me, learnt in about 10 minutes. I even jumped off a small bridge that day, would not have done that kind of thing with the cuck lessions. So I'd recommend learning from a normal person instead of a cuck who deliberately teaches a slow way to make more cash.

This makes no sense, that part of Spain is usually cold this time of year and most if not all of their swimming pools are closed.

Lifeguards are compulsory too in the EU, the absence of which steers me into thinking that this was an ill thought-out venture by the unfotunate family.

And this ladies and gentlemen is the difference between someone who 'can' swim but would ****ing die the moment they're in adverse conditions, and a competent swimmer who knows how to survive in **** conditions. Those "minor details" make a huge difference when it comes to swimming.

Didn't really believe the story until I watched this video:

Brb all 3 somehow manage to drown in what looks like a water level which is barely the height of themselves

One guy looks as if he is swimming to the edge then just gives up and drowns.
If that was in a movie you'd say its cheesy, obviously fake and lame etc. But from doing some googling, apparently during panic you really have next to no time before falling unconscious and drowning. As soon as a little water shoots down your throat your windpipe closes up, forcing any swallowed water into the stomach, that contraction makes you cough followed by a hard inhale for air whether you're at the surface or in the water, rinse and repeat until you die from oxygen starvation and a stomach/lungs full of water.
From CPR survivors they said its painful during the initial struggle for air, then you just feel at peace with it and sort of go into a trance, then everything goes black.

Sad story. I almost drowned when I was a kid (probably around 9) and rarely even go in the water these days. Currents, even if you understand them, are a bitch. Better to not even put yourself in such situations.

Nah, **** that, if I tried some little dandy quarter roll to take a sip breath, paddle feet like a *** technique, I'd die, especially if there was a minor wave. I watched Crocodile Dundee and he swims exactly the same way, Australians know what they're doing.

Lol at the dumbasses who think they can figure out exactly what to do in this situation. The brain does weird chit when you think you're going to die. A read of a cop who's family died after his Prius lost his brakes. Every other comment: "Shoulda just put it in neutral or pull the ebrake." I doubt many people can think straight while going 80 mph and suddenly faced with your family dying.

This reminds me of an Australian tv show called bondi rescue, set on bondi beach it followed lifeguards saving people and my god some of the retards who went swimming were completely incompetent swimmers who go for a swim in 6ft waves then end up in difficulty.

Was usually Chinese people who could barely swim would ignore the rip tide signs and go swimming then surprise surprise lifeguards come and rescue them and they have no idea that they were literally minutes from death then some even went back in the water. Made me rage watching it

Everyone thinks they can swim until they've been in a rip

Was sent approx 200m to sea when I was 16ish. Started in waist height water and was in no mans land behind the break before I even knew what had happened. Started treading water and eventually found the edge to get out but anybody new to that environment would have definitely been joining zyzz (rip) the afterlife.
