Trans people are often depressed. Is it any wonder they commit suicide at a higher rate? Perhaps there should be mandatory counseling before the surgeries. Similar to how the heart has to be healthy enough for any surgery, the mind should be healthy enough for this. I don't think the surgeries are even the cause of suicides, but man that's a real permanent decision to go into without a sound mind.

My gender reassingnment surgery was botched and left my entire pelvic area riddled with permanent numbness and intense nerve damage.
