NJ hits in other ways and is in a huge hole that keeps getting dug deeper and deeper by road and state worker penisons. The taxpayer will shoulder the burden. Im not sure how comparable those flats are because they could be in cities. Even though nJ has trenton newark and jersey city there is not much in them compared to new york. Anything within 90 minutes of new york is either run down or expensive compared to rest of country. Despite the taxes commuting costs and other factors people will continue to want to live in NJ because of proximity to NY and shore. Compared to long island CT and upstate certain areas are some of the best suburbs of NY IMO but like i said expensive or run down. If you go further than two hours from NY things get cheap

Prices have not always been so high in Germany. The financial crisis caused a lot of people and businesses to look for ways to diversify. That along with negative interest rates and banks throwing money at people has caused prices to double in the last five years.

If you cannot afford Koln you can look somewhere else.

Unless I had to work in NYC, I do not know why NJ would be on the list of places. Everyone is spreading out more and wants to live in places they can buy a ranch now that remote work is more common.
